Not everyone qualifies for the offer. I am still using the old Firetv 4k stick and probably that triggered the offer.

After having 3 Fire TV sticks in the past years, each got significantly slower over time despite disabling all services and bloatware, switched to Google TV stick and cannot be happier.

I see the discount on the product page but I don't have a FireTV 4K. I only have a really old FireTV that I never use. I assume this would be a big improvement.

Is there any reason to get a FireTV 4K stick if one already has a Roku Ultra and an Apple TV? What can you do with a FireTV that you can't easily with the others?

just put Kodi on it and set it to autolaunch on boot. The original 4K does DV, HDR, 4K, x265, Atmos, all the stuff you throw at it.

No need for Shield if you only want to Kodi. I only wanted to Kodi, so we have 3 of the original 4K. Woot was having them for like $12 at one point.

Also, throw in a USB OTG Splitter and plug in a USB ethernet adapter if you want. Throw in a USB ethernet adapter that's also a USB hub if you want to plug in some other stuff as well.

If you have a 4K Max 1st Gen, it's equal to or slightly better than the 4k 2nd Gen. No need to upgrade.

I have a bunch of fire sticks sitting in a drawer after my new tv came with Roku. It's so much better it's not even close. Switched everything over.
