Can anyone comment on whether they noticed a difference after upgrading? I have the old model and honestly it runs great. I've never noticed lag or buffering outside of one specific app (moonlight).

It's about every month for me on the 2021 4k Max (with the same light up/remote finder control). Not as bad as every 2 weeks but still worse life than I expected. I was hoping for about half of the old remotes, but they always last over 6 months for me.

Past three Fire sticks all worked fine for a year. Then responsiveness became unbearably sluggish. So we'd upgrade to the new model, rinse and repeat.

Skipping this upgrade offer to save for an Apple TV. I am done with these things.

but its not easy to sideload apps on Apple TV.

Exactly!
Despite the doubling the storage, it still cannot compare to the amount of apps you can load onto a Roku. Amazons ABC app has always worked like crap, if it loads at all. Planning on replacing my last 2 Firesticks with Rokus as soon as a worthy deal presents itself.

I have all kind of cameras and other devices that the fire sticks work with that's why I use them Roku nothing. And I could install third party apps on the Fire Stick and many that I use I can't use on the Roku Roku pretty much is it closed system It's pretty much for dumb people
