It's actually one of the cheapest price for a full powered RTX 3060 based laptops with high quality screen and other features.

How much should it be? This config-ish (I don't think the CPU is available without a discrete GPU) would still be $600-700, maybe more. Personally I do not think $100-200 is a lot to ask for a 3060 nor could Nvidia likely keep the doors open selling them in bulk bins at BigLots for $49.99 each.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

I've been so tempted on this one. It hits all the features I was looking for at the price point I was hoping for, except one. There is no slot in this for a second hard drive. You could upgrade to a 2TB for a reasonable price, but that would be too low for me and 4TB drives are going to drive the overall price up pretty high.

Other low points are lack of ability to charge via USB-C and lack of a number pad. Great specs at the price, though. Reviews suggest it outperforms the HP and Acer gaming laptops with similar specs (https://www.pcmag.com/reviews/dell-g16-7620).

One of my biggest complaints about the G15 is the keyboard and how the arrow keys share space with the pgup/pgdn buttons. It is very aggravating. That said, I am an avid user of the numpad and I would miss it... but I would gladly trade my g15 for the g16.

I hope this info helps!

The reviews and SSD upgrade videos I've seen all show this model having two m.2 slots for SSDs. I'm thinking your information is incorrect.

I have a G15, and although this model is completely different.... I would be surprised to see Dell remove the second slot (which is why I even checked in the first place).

I bought a G16 7620 and can confirm that it only has one m.2 slot. I think the videos you saw probably feature a model one generation older or newer, both of which I think have two slots. I agree that it's annoying and it forced me to buy a 4tb (and reinstall Windows). But it was worth it--these are a great price for their specs.

Got this model a while back, after tweaks and debloat with christitustool can confirm this thing really kicks.

Nvidia reflex+boost is pretty impressive when using DLSS. The 3060 is very capable.

The display could be brighter, but im primarily using this on a 4ktv. The resolution on the display blew me away though. Looks fantastic. Speakers on the laptop are much louder than I expected and the quality of sound is quite nice.

Usb-C power would have been dope, but it has thunderbolt 4 which is nice.

Beware, just ordered this had all eligible coupons applied total was $848.xx for me plus tax. Went to check the order status and invoice and my order was reverted to $954.xx to only take the $400 off. Also confirmed that charge was pending on my CC. I cancelled it.

Happened to me too - turned out that all my coupons didn't get applied after my submit. I canceled it as well

I retired again the second time and it went through successfully with the right charge.

Ah, you replied fast! I started doubting the two slots, as well, after my previous post. So I checked the product documentation, and you are 100% correct. It has one m.2 slot for SSDs. That is definitely a bummer.
