Equivalent? It's $1550 and who knows if it's Apple Certified or not. It comes with a 3rd party (Allstate) warranty.

Why would you not want to buy from Amazon and rather spend more for something from an ebay seller? Confused

Not really a warning. Venture to guess 90% of folks here have purchased from Woot and we know them quite well. While open box/refub items can be hit or miss and highly variable depending on WHAT it is (bedding, computer, wearables, etc) delivery is not something they usually miss. Can they? Sure, but so can any retailer. I've had no issue with Woot specifically.

No warning necessary for this!

They had it for 1389 actually. When 9/30 ended, they increased the price. I got farked waiting for PayPal calendar.

As of 09/30 at the time of posting, the rationale was: the ebay deal ($1389 subtracted by 5% PayPal Chase Cashback) would be cheaper than the Amazon deal, but would ebay warranty is worth the trade off? I still see some other refurbished products on ebay.

Just picked up a 1TB version.

For those maybe not in the know, the 512GB model is 8 core CPU and 14 core GPU and the 1TB not only doubles the storage for the extra $100, but also is 10 core CPU and 16 core GPU. Definitely worth the extra $100.

I'm on the fence about Amazon refurbs and Apple. I got my son a ipad pro 12.9 back in August and the thing bricked within 24 hours. Only good thing was Amazon immediately gave me my money back and there was a new one on SD for $250 more so I bought that one to replace it.
