What's the verdict on freezing coffee to make it last longer? I remember hearing James Hoffman from YT wholeheartedly recommend it but what's the best way to package it?

I doubt if the Lavazza Espresso Italiano Whole Bean Coffee Blend Medium Roast is dark enough for me since I have used the Lavazza Crema E Gusto Ground Coffee Blend, Espresso Dark Roast, and found it to be too light.

I have used and liked the Kirkland Signature Espresso Blend Coffee, Dark Roast, Whole Bean, at 7.68 pound. But, I want a cheaper version of this...

I'm just dripping it, not using an espresso machine

I am just going to throw this out here. Peet's is good but you have to make it real strong for it to be real good. Costco has a Starbucks brewed Costco brand dark roast that is really good. These Lavazza beans are good for drip coffee.

I just made my double espresso with this coffee and it's definitely good for the price. I prefer the Super Crema for espresso though.

Anyone knows where to buy good robusta coffee? I came from Asia and really missed the robusta flavour. Arabica sure has its own vibe, but robusta is really my thing.

That certainly wasn't the case of my S&S order which I received the initial 2.2 lb bag just 2 weeks ago, which had a production date of apparently March 2021.
The exact text of the date code is: 60086001/03/21 and I live right next to one of the 3 largest/major cities in the US.

If your Costco carries the Kirkland Oaxaca Organic medium roast coffee ($18) [costcobusinessdelivery.com], I found that be an excellent drip coffee compared to their other offerings. I agree that this coffee is average at best, but I will say it does make pretty decent cold brew coffee. I think the major issues with this coffee is that it tends to several months old by the time customers receive it, so it's not nearly as good as it might be if it was freshly roasted (within a week or two).

It's actually on sale until Monday for $11.99. I do agree it's better, and my batch has been roasted on 08/31/23. If you got a Costco close by, it might be the better deal.

The gran crema version is definitely a great espresso bean in my experience. This one, not so much - at least not to my liking. Just seems to be bitter yet watery, even after going down in setting pretty low on my barista pro. And not much crema. I've got half a bag left and will be using it as a backup or for making espresso martinis.
