The only gripe I have had with Fire Tablets is the battery life when in standby mode. You can set an iPad down with 90% power and come back to it a week+ later and it will still be good to go. But you can't even do that overnight with any of the Fire Tablets we have had.
From the android police review:
Quote :
Standby time is even better; between Prime Day coverage and a couple of sick days in July, I didn't touch the Fire Max for nearly a week. It didn't dip below 80 percent.

I've had mine for a day and a half. I ran Fire Tool Kit, got rid of the lock screen ads, deleted some Amazon apps I didn't want and added Google. From Google I added my usual apps and have set the tablet up just like I want it. . The screen looks good, the sound is good and it's plenty fast enough.

I never had a problem with the speed of my Fire HD 10 Plus I've been using for the last year and it's Geekbench 6 score is 324 single core, 964 multicore. The Geekbench 6 score for this Fire Max 11 is 944 single core, 2281 multi core. So far It's been really good with no complaints and the finger print reader on the power button is great.
What FW version are you on?
Did you get 8.3.1.5 stock
Mine was great at fort but now the apps are force closing.
First I ran some white list commands from ADB and it fixed it ,like a week later same issue again
This time I reinstalled play services (all 4 apps) at first play store was not working then I got everything working again and then a week later same issue again
Mainly Gmail and the Google app are the issue.
This time I just tried clearing cache and data on the apps and seems like Gmail is working again.
Before the Google app was wot of you launched from the app drawer or home screen icon but uf you use the nova launcher widget it force closed when you start typing.
After clearing cache and data and deleting and reinstalling the app it works from the widget now for search but the news feed doesn't load now from the widget or uf you launch it from the icon either, it just says something went wrong.
Photos and maps and keep are working
I wish I knew how to fix this weirdness.
I don't have those issues on the HD 10 2019
The new fire OS doesn't like Google Play Services on this device.
Let me know if you start experiencing issues later on and what FW you are on.

What you mean is "I think iPads suck" because you didn't really give anything other than personal reasons you don't like iPad's. That's fine. But obviously since iPads have more market share than any other tablet, I'd say you are a minority.

Also, you are incorrect about iPads not having removable storage. I use tiny Samsung 256GB USB-C [a.co] drives on my iPad Air that carry tons of movies and TV shows that I play with an iOS app called Infuse, which is an absolutely wonderful app for playing media. Infuse is not on Android and I have not been able to find anything close to Infuse on Android (I have a Samsung Tab S8 also).
A flash drive hanging out from the lightning port via an adapter is not exactly what is meant by "removable storage.
You mean you have to use another device to find and download content and then take more time to transfer it to a flash drive before you can view it with a media player app.
What I am talking about are steaming apk's that don't even exist for IOS and just sideload the app and type what you want get links from scrapers so you can stream it.
What you are talking about is absolutely archaic in le current year.

Hate to show how little you know, but iPad Air's have USB-C, not lightning.
Also, if you bothered to click the link to the flash drive I occasionally use to stream movies, you'd see it's about the size of your thumbnail, faster than any microSD, and at $25 is far less expensive for my needs than paying Apple $150+ for the additional storage I rarely use.

What are "steaming apk's"? Sounds like fresh crap. Regardless, you save money buying cheap tablets and stealing movies and I save it by being practical.

Still not buying another iPad at least until they allow sideloading in the US like they are being forced to in the EU

To all those complaining about these tablets. Any android alternatives that don't suck? My kids have been using these Fire tabs for a few years and they struggle with Roblox..id love to get them something better. However, the 4GB of ram.in these seems nice. I think their current 10" fire tabs have 2gb.

Order mistake is human error. Do you live up in the mountains? I have never returned an Amazon product via Amazon locker. It's always UPS store because I have a lot near me.
Yes that story reeks of human error lol

I'd be curious to know how someone got 15 of those cheap enough to sell for that and even including shipping.
