It's cheaper because it has magnesium oxide, which apparently doesn't absorb as well. The OP was magnesium glycinate, which is among the best-absorbed magnesium supplements.

Mag G is usually more expensive and yes it does digest "better". It digests higher in the digestive tract compared to oxide and even citrate. It's important because the lower in the digestive tract that it digests The more likely it is to make you have diarrhea which is why the lower quality magnesiums are used as laxatives. The higher quality like this one which digest higher is used more for helping with magnesium deficiencies such as muscle spasms, sleep issues, and hypertension for some people, among other things.

I wouldn't say they are massive. They aren't capsules and are on the bigger side but I have had no issues taking them for months. I literally just bought more 2 days ago for double the price tho 🥺

They are bigger bc its real magnesium. Most pills that are small ir have multivitamins are very synthetic the more natural a vitamin or mineral is the larger the pills. If you look up natural vitamins or minerals the pills are larger but I wouldnt say huge

That's exactly why I want the oxide. I don't need the additional benefits aforementioned since my profile levels are already met.

I assume it would make people prone to constipation less likely to be constipated. I have been taking other magnesium pills and that might explain why I am doing well.

That's why I grind them up and add them into a glass of chocolate milk. I couldn't swallow it otherwise.

Get Magnesium L-threonateesium (magtein) instead. The L-threonateesium (or threonic acid aka vitamin C) helps getting magnesium across the blood-brain barrier more efficiently, and is more beneficial for the brain and overall absorption

It's also wildly expensive comparatively. I've taken both, noticed no difference.

That's probably one of the most fundamentally incorrect things I've read on these forums. Magnesium is magnesium, and dissolved ionic magnesium is Mg+2 no matter where it comes from and our body treats it as such. It's a metal and becomes a metal ion once dissolved in our body. There is literally no difference from the kind that comes out of the bowels of the Earth or from made in the lab. I don't know why these pills are bigger; I'm assuming it has something to do with the binders that are used in the tablet making process, or perhaps some other differences between this amino acid bound version vs citrate or oxide bound versions.
