General rule for homeowners. If it has pressure on the gauge. It should work.

Not *in* two car fires but driving by and assisted. Five pounder was used in engine bay that was already open - I'm not sure what they did but maybe trying to jumpstart - was a bad snowy day. There was actually a third fire in American Legion parking lot. I was on bicycle, ran inside and grabbed their 10lb outside kitchen doors - popped the hood and sprayed thru gap between hood and body, a little thru the grille but radiator mostly blocked it. Too hot to release the catch to open but it did the job. Every commercial building has extinguishers so if at all close, run in and steal theirs.

A bit small to deal with any significant fuel fire but the chems are the same. I keep a 10 and a 5lb in each vehicle. Have used one of each over the years. Anything is better than nothing.

Wow you've been in two car fires? Did they help? Was the 5lbs enough or useless?

I think that this is a link to the same one, that has the $12.88 price showing: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Kidde.../312602847

The link, in the OP, shows that my local Home Depot store has none in stock; however, the link that I just posted, shows that my local store has 50 in stock. So, hopefully, this is a helpful link.

By the way, thank you very much, OP, for posting this deal and bringing attention to it. This would seem to be a great item to have, for all of us. And for $13, it's something that is realistically affordable, for almost everyone.

Good car/boat/garage extinguisher, though a bit small. Better than nothing and a lot of folks aren't going to want a huge extinguisher anyway, may buy you a little more time waiting for the fire department or what not. For home inside you probably want a ABC or K for kitchen.
