    I thought Amazon made you return and rebuy instead of doing price adjustments.

    Yes, but it is not sold by Amazon. Sellers there will try to avoid returns because it hurts their Amazon store in several ways (they have to pay for the return, they have to deal with a used item, and it has a negative impact on their customer satisfaction rating). So asking the seller directly might work.

    I have a feeling I'm about to head down a big rabbit hole, but...

    I'm pretty ignorant about these things and have been working with a MacBook for a long time now. I do some Java development with IntelliJ and had a need to compile on Windows, so I repurposed an old MacBook Pro 13 I had with BootCamp and Windows 10. It's an Intel i5-4258U CPU @ 2.40GHz w/8GB of RAM.

    Per the perf stats shown on the Amazon listing, it seems like this little $150 box could be significantly faster than that old MacBook. Or am I missing something?

    One other things I'd appreciate is for the box to be silent (at least when not in active use), so feel free to make other recommendations.
