Also, be aware that unlike the upgrade from HD to 4k Apple TV/iTunes does with movies, they do not upgrade SD content to HD.

While this is a good deal, that this is only SD kills it for me when there is an HD Blu-ray release currently out. I am going to wait.

My bad! It looks like this has released since I last did my research and decided to buy this from itunes. I wish the HD version was available for digital purchase through itunes.

Apparently Frasier was shot on film but "edited on videotape?" wth does that mean? As far as I can tell nobody has gone back to the source so there's no point in trying to get something better than what was released in SD. Your TV will update really nice, and the TV you buy on Black Friday will do a good job too (not better not worse, just a different good job. Turn off extra frames or fluid motion)

I have paramount plus where Frasier is in HD (or at least in widescreen). HD does not look all that sharp. I did compare 480i version with the paramount plus version for same exact scenes. The widescreen version has some extra real estate that seems to be cut from the 480i version.
