Amazon runs an algorithm on it's products based on how popular an item is -- and the price fluctuates accordingly.

This is why you sometimes buy something on Amazon, and the next day you check the product listing see it $2-3 cheaper (or more expensive). You can't contact chat to do a price match or credit; they will tell you to return the item and re-purchase it (if it has already shipped).

It's not directly related to this deal -- but I say this as a reminder to those that found a new brand of protein or new favorite flavor. The more people that purchase a product you use on a regular basis (based on recommendations) means a higher cost to you, since Amazon will keep those prices inflated from the increased demand.

Is this better than Costco's pricing?
Costco is currently $64 for 5.64lbs or $8/lb $11.35/lb Blink

Looks like 4.65lbs is the new 5lbs.

Shrinkflation...
Next is skimpflation which is even more obnoxious.

Even better price on Double Reach Chocolate, since that one actually weighs 5lb. No sucralose, however you may argue that Ace-K is not much better

Wtf is with the normal retail price 🤣? Rather save up for when vitamineshoppe has their BOGO 50% off sale. Least then I'll get 2xlb bags for a good discount.

Holy poopie dude. Should I stay in ignorance ? or pursue the truth about Ace-K?
Ace - K, it looks real nasty

I had no idea what Ace-K is, and I am old enough to remember when the "miracle" of Aspartame came out
in 1981 and my doc said to use it.

Good thing we can trust the FDA to tell us the truth, even though the leaders are chosen from the same industries they regulate... no, wait..ahhhhh

I'm sure If the manufacturer added 50% less of these sweeteners, the taste would still be quite good, at least for me, but probably not for mass market. So I guess my solution will be to buy an expensive plain protein and mix them both together to reach some compromise

I don't know why, but the 4.65lbs instead of 5lbs just pisses me off.

Thanks to all that pointed out the danger of Acesulfame Potassium (Ace K). I bought the double rich chocolate because it didn't have Sucralose, but now that I did the research and verified how bad Ace K is I'm send the protein powder back. Thanks again.

Gah. I also bought the chocolate..

> A new study has said that sugar substitutes such as acesulfame potassium and sucralose, may interfere with liver's ability to detoxify the body. Apr 24, 2022

> The sources that claim that acesulfame potassium may be potentially dangerous also claim that the substance may also have certain carcinogenic properties. In one study the female rats were fed with acesulfame potassium and they were twice as likely to develop tumors on the breasts as those which were not fed the artificial sweetener.

> The substance may be harmful because it can also trigger certain medical disorders such as lung tumors, severe chronic respiratory diseases and leukemia as well.

None of the optimum products are going to be good for you.
