Good card, great price! Mine performs well with a slight undervolt and higher power limit. My only complaint is the coil whine. You shouldn't hear it too much when your case is closed up, however, this sucker has very noticeable coil whine.
seeing 7900 XT's dropping to low 700's and XTX's dropping to ~900.. hopefully a good sign of price drops to come. looking at the two models since i want better performance for Starfield (currently using rtx 3080 for 1440p), but honestly a game shouldn't need a near $1k gpu for decent performance :\

Agreed. I'm going to wait for Black Friday to pull the trigger. Hoping the 7900xt hits $650

It doesn't lol. Looks fine and runs 30fps on $500 Xbox.
My 2022 Asus G14 laptop ran it great at 1440p medium. FSR2 at 70%
My Asus Rog Ally runs it fine on 1080p low.
My 3080Ti rig runs it 1440p ultra np. Native
My mini itx 4070 build runs it 1440p ultra. Native
Obviously runs better on more expensive hardware, but you can absolutely get a great experience without a $1k gpu...
This is a pretty good deal if you're in the market for a high end card. I got the spectral white version of this for $100 more and can highly recommend it. You can play just about any game at 1440p with everything absolutely cranked, and a lot at full HD with no problems. It's a thick boy taking up 3 slots. I got it to fit into the Cooler Master NR200P Mini-ITX case that I got on here for $40, but I did have to dremel out a small part of the back of the case to make it fit.

when i run 1440p native on high (with shadows = low), for the most part it's smooth, but there are many times (esp during heavy firefights) when it drops to <60fps. the sudden drop introduces noticeable input lag. when i enable fsr2, most of that goes away, but triple digit fps rarely happens except in low density, enclosed areas (the lodge, for example, but i have to double check).
i guess what i'm trying to say is that last gen's high end gpu should not need software wizardry to run it at 1440p on high (not even ultra) and get consistent, smooth framerates.
of course you can adjust settings etc to get decent experience, but if you compare starfield to other games, starfield does require a bit more horsepower to get it up and running at high settings, even though it's not comparatively/proportionally more impressive, graphics-wise.

Agreed. A lot of people get stuck on the idea that they have to max everything out without considering that game companies now make games capable of pushing FUTURE hardware. If you have a solid card and tweak a few things there is no reason why you can't have a good experience.

no price is solid. This is a top tier card.
980ti was 650$.
1080ti was 700$
2080ti was 1000$.
and these aren't the OC editions which were even more expensive.
900$ for a top tier OC card from a top aib is a solid price
