Sooooooooooooooooooooo if I'm remembering correctly, both last year and this summer you could order $100+ worth of items that were BOGOs or $1 sale items and still get the $50 promo discount......

The big photo was everything for about $80 after shipping/taxes and the ice cream was 14x Ben and Jerrys and 4x Hawaiian rolls for $20. Worth checking once it goes live but they may have patched that

Last 2 times when I ordered from Amazon Fresh, it was not Amazon truck that delivered those orders. I ordered when Amazon was having Prime Day in July and August (with Prime Day coupon #2). I believe both times were delivered by drivers in regular cars. I am not sure if they are like Door Dash type independent drivers but they were not wearing Amazon shirts and the orders came from local Amazon Fresh warehouse. I did leave tip. You have like 24 hours after the delivery to decide on tip. Tip is highly encouraged in Amazon Fresh checkout.

Remember Amazon Fresh has free shipping/delivery if you order $150+ but if your order is less than that, you will be charged for delivery fee which is depending on the order total price. If they have good sales when this $50 off coupon code works, it will be still a good deal on groceries even though you have to pay for delivery fee and ftip.

EDIT: It seems to give you free delivery with the coupon code if you are a new customer to Amazon Fresh.

I've definitely placed an order with Amazon fresh in the past and the promo still works for me. Last time I used it was probably a year ago though.

The problems with Fresh are

1) They raised the minimum threshold to order with "Free" delivery.
2) Many items are always out of stock. You can't pre-order.
3) Related to #2 items become out of stock even after you order.
4) Quality of items can be rather poor.

Sure you can order $100 of steak for $50. But it the steak is basically ass and borderline rotting it will not make a difference.

I figured it's still a good deal on groceries even if I have to pay $3 for delivery fee (for $100 order) plus $7 for tip (automatic tip amount but you can increase or decrease the amount up to 24 hours after receiving the order). So if I pay $10 in those fees, I am still getting $40 off groceries which is 40% off on food etc. Ten dollars fee for me to avoid traffic through constructions on highway and spend time/gas trying to do pickup at Amazon Fresh warehouse by me seems like a good idea. (Also, if I go grocery shopping at physical store, I tend to buy things that are not on my shopping list so it will save some money.)

I have found some great deals/clearance in my area for Amazon Fresh items. I am sure those clearance items vary in areas where you live. It does take a while to find them since it requires browsing around. I am waiting for Prime Day sale to see if they will have any special sales going on before I order from Amazon Fresh with this deal.

The free delivery used to be for $35+ order for Amazon Fresh. They increased the amount to $150+ order some time ago. It's a huge jump. I wish Amazon decrease to maybe $50+ or even $100+ to get free delivery so that more people would be interested in using the program more often.
