Final trade-in value includes promotional credit of $100. So it's not trade-in value + $100.

1. You need a plan and the cheapest one is 15 + tax
2. You need to keep the plan active for at least 67 days
3. After 67 days, you need to call/chat to request unlock
4. Your total initially when placing the order is 399 + tax
5. After you send in your trade and they receive it, it will take around 2-3 weeks to receive the trade in credit. Depending the agent who processes your trade in but I believe most of the time, it will post to your account and you need to call in to request them crediting back to your CC.

Hope that helps

You will pay 399+ tax when placing the order. After they process your trade in, you will get whatever the amount (218 in your case) crediting to your account. The 36 months contract is only for payment plan. You can cancel your plan anytime after the trade is processed and your phone is unlock if you pay in full.

I spoke to multiple departments today, all reps are saying, phone has to be on spectrum network for 60 days then only the device can be unlocked. They tried to unlock it but system is not allowing them.
Same thing was said to me. Their policy states that the account, not the phone, must be active for 60 days. I filed a FCC complaint because they are clearly misleading customers.

This is the article they have on their support page -

In order for your mobile device to be unlocked, the following rules apply:

It must be purchased from Spectrum Mobile and activated on a Spectrum Mobile line.

The device must be paid off in full.

Your Spectrum Mobile account must be active for 60 days and in good standing, with no outstanding payments.

The device must not be reported lost, stolen or involved with fraudulent activity.

Yeah, I pointed that out to them. I've met all the terms. Still no go. FCC complaint filed.

Activated the pixel yesterday. If I pull the SIM card out today and put it in my OnePlus 11 will there be any issue sim unlocking the Pixel in 2 months?

I filed FCC since my account is over 4 months old and they wouldn't unlock for a different device I purchased in August. It took an abnormally long time for them to unlock it (almost 60 days) over 25 different times they called me to "assist" me with the unlock. Just know that they won't make it easy if you try to get it unlocked before the full two month.

Apparently, they check by how long the sim was active in the device. They said one of my devices only had couple days for the unlock clock even though I activated weeks ago.

Just went to Spectrum store and Got Pixel 8 Pro Black, No Blue Version, Traded in iPhone 11 and got the instant trade-in rebate with additional 100 bonus -235. Paid 179.68. It's better to do it in-store trade-in, since the process is super smooth. Of course they have to carry the phone which you like.

They got the phone in store. Nothing about ordering online to start. Am I reading it wrong?

I have read comments from others where the store says you have to mail it in if phone bought online, if you have time you could stop at store and ask.

Yeah, I did nothing online. Went to store with my trade-in, gave my phone number attached to the account. Rep pulled my account, at one point they were able to add my trade-in and took my trade-in phone and immediately credited the trade-in money to the balance. Paid the final balance which was 400 - trade-in value of the phone. Activated the pixel 8 pro with new sim, tested the phone and stepped out. In my opinion, in store trade-in is better, since you don't have to deal with trade-in company and also credit is immediately applied
