Great price but keep in mind the iO brush heads are more expensive than the regular Oral-B and they are not interchangeable.

Correct! The new style brush head is critical for the newer function and greater power output. I definitely recommend the oral b io toothbrushes to my patients and I can see the difference at their 6 month recall in the reduction of plaque and reduced gingival inflammation (gingivitis) when they are going from a manual toothbrushes to electric. However, the new heads also have finer and higher quality bristles.

In all fairness the sonicare and the older style oral b electric toothbrushes are very good. This is better and newer technology. If they are the same price then this is my go to recommendation.

Secondipity... Does that mean this is a used toothbrush?

Looks like the series 3 does not have the bluetooth/phone app, but is otherwise very similar. One reviewer said that the phone app isn't all that useful, but I can't offer an opinion on that.
app is apparently pretty important for the series 4 as it doesn't indicate what mode it is on in the handle anywhere. So the only way other then feel is to check on the app. It is the main reason some advise against the 4 but also one of the reasons it is a bit cheaper than the other models.

It's not compatible because tbe IO has vibrations which the old head is not capable of

thank you, requested cancellation

it's kind of silly to have 2-3 types of heads for the same brand

Your dentist is not good if he did that. Both brush achive the same result and anyone who tells you other lwise is bs. Get whatever you want. Oral b does more marketing and sale people to dentist office so they are more popular. In reality oral b company is worse. I remember this research group (I'm sure you can find them per google) who reviewed and rated all the brushes for both company. Sonicare was very good at replying and answering questions and providing the prove for the statements. Oral b basically refuse to answer any questions and the info that provided was shady at best. As far as the research they did it was even for both and also showed the cheap models pretty much are all you need but they did put a disclaimer that they would not recommend oral b to anyone after how rude and non compliant the company is with prov8ding any info on their product. I been us8ng a soniccare since then and my dentist never complains.
I'm far from an expert but the action of the Oral B is just like what Dentist use in the Dentist office. If that design wasn't superior why do all dentist use it? Why don't you see sonic care type ones used in the dentist office?

Thanks so much for bringing your professional knowledge and experience to this thread. It's nice to hear an unbiased clinical opinion instead of the marketing hype we generally have to rely upon. Much appreciated.

Anyone ordered and got declined?
Tried through amazon pay and seeing it was changed to declined without any updates.

The charge is still pending, although I assume this will be reversed.

Edit - tried PayPal as well, both orders refunded.
