Best Buy's page if you want to activate an unlocked device as part of the order says "We're currently only able to activate service on this unlocked device with Verizon, Google Fi Wireless and AT&T."

But that doesn't mean the phone isn't compatible with T-Mobile, it probably means they don't stock T-Mobile SIMs and service. Do you have a source that says this unlocked phone from Best Buy will not take a T-Mobile SIM?

Also, trade-in note at checkout if you're selecting store pickup is "Bring your trade-in device to the store when you pick up your new item."

However you can maybe sell those Pixel Buds Pro for $100 so that helps.
What is an easy site to sell a brand new unopened Pixel Buds Pro? I don't have any accounts at any selling sites. Looking for quick and easy (doesn't have to be absolute maximal price).

I'm guessing eBay or Facebook marketplace will be the best bets.

Sold everything on Craigslist or OfferUp just about. Easy, quick, lots of users.

can i take the trade-in today before phone release and pickup?
No, the way the T&C reads the trade in is a refund. I presume they wouldn't charge you until you pickup/ship the phone. If you do mail in they don't even ship you the return box for usually a few days after you get the phone. In store it has to be on the same transaction. However, the T&C state that you get the credit after the store mails it in. This is new however, in prior years they would often 'approve' the trade in-store, so YMMV. I do not think there is a way to get a 'instant' credit. You have to pay the full $699 + taxes, then you get a refund for the trade in amount later. In store I suspect you likely get your credit faster but it will take a few days due to credit card processing time anyway.

If I keep the phone sealed in the box and don't activate the phone, would it be possible to return the phone in case the trade-in falls through for the Walmart StraightTalk iPhone SE 3 gen?

Also, can I buy more than one?

It takes weeks to get the refund. And once you send in your trade, it's gone. You ain't getting it back.

Best Buy charge tax on full MSRP or after-trade-in value? Thanks
Full MSRP

EDIT: I paid tax on msrp while placing order. Looks like once I trade in the device in store, I will get tax back on trade-in amount.

The math doesn't add up…

Google pixel $699 + taxes 40ish = $739 - trade in credit $460, but you do pay about $155 for iPhone SE at Walmart so technically you pay about $434 after including what you paid for the SE

Attention anyone looking to purchase a trade in device via boost mobile!
You have to buy the device and the monthly plan with it at least initially.
The sim auto activates and they will charge your card for the next month unless you create an account and de-activate the auto pay option! Ask me how I know... there is no refund - I tried. Even disputed with credit card company - they initially credited me but later then charged me again...

There is a fine print before you pay that reads the following:
Quote :
By clicking 'Buy Now' or 'Pay with PayPal', you agree to pay the amount due today. Your service will not begin until your SIM is activated. If you are getting a new phone number, your SIM will be automatically activated 2-3 days after order. Once activated, you authorize Boost Mobile to charge your card or PayPal account to auto pay your monthly total fee plus any additional taxes and surcharges. Prices and surcharges subject to change. You will be automatically charged every month until you cancel. Cancel or downgrade at any time. You also agree to our Terms, Emergency and Privacy Policy. Boost Mobile may use your information to contact you about your account.

The goal is to then sell your existing phone, and possibly the Pixel Buds Pro and re-coupe all costs.

Even after you factor in taxes and what you paid for the Iphone SE, being able to get a Pixel 8 for $434 net is still a pretty good deal. The way I view it you probably want to be able to get this phone for under $500 for at least another 9 months.
