This is the new world. Amazon charging $2 for in-garage option. Prime videos will have ads with no price reduction. Restaurants charging "inflation fees." Fast food places charging an extra $1 for a thimble of ketchup. Veterinarians charging $25 fee to administer your own meds to a pet while they are hospitalized and a $15 fee to approve an Rx. Local hospital charging my insurance company an $1,800(!) "facility fee" for every 1-hour outpatient physical therpay session (on top of the PT charge) - 3x per week!. Some warehouses are now charing $200 to pick up orders. It's all ridiculous. The consuer is now paying for the cost of business twice - once w/ the item that already has these costs built into the price and a second time with the standlone fees.

New email, new dummy address, virtual credit card, random phone number, random name, VPN or use mobile data. That should bypass whatever they're checking. They don't verify ID or need to print cards these days.

Only a couple weeks after tmobile tried pawning $20 as a deal. I miss the free memberships (gift card included, equal to annual fee paid). As a single guy, I probably save 15-20 bucks a year with Sam's... Until it's lower, still not great value for a basic dude.

My membership expired a while ago, tried to create a new membership with just a new email (name & address are same as what were used previously) but the site recognized me as having been a prior member therefore no longer offering the $15 membership.

Anyone else having this issue?

ditto... I thought it was because I had an active membership (expires in 10 day) but maybe not. Try with a different credit card maybe? I gave up.

My hubby is the 2nd on my account. I logged out of my app and deleted it.

I was able to sign up with his same name, our same address, his cc/ phone and didn't put my name as 2nd (left it blank). I was able to purchase the deal however on the page right after checkout, there was a message stating he looked familiar and asking if he had an account previously (y/n) so I said no. It went through.

I used a misspelled street name plus a "suite 500" 2nd line address and a fake phone number.. it let me sign up. Then I was able to correct those in the online account from the website.

Seemed like it was keying off phone number more than address tho

My Plus membership expires at the end of the month. Is there an offer for Plus? If not, how do you guys do the upgrade?

Btw, I alternate every year by getting an account for 1 primary person and use that same account for the household. No issues there.

I had this issue in the past. Before you let your existing SC membership lapse, try to use up your sams club dollars, etc. After you switch, you have to call the credit card company (number on back of card) and let them know that what your old membership number was and what the new one is. They send a new card (same CC number) - it takes a few weeks, but the points or dollars from the prior card eventually moved over.
