Massively agree. We got the non-AI version in 2020, from BBuy. 6 Geek Squad visit, 3 door-lock mechanisms, 1 door replacement, 1 motherboard replacement, and they finally just lemon'd it and gave us a credit for a new one.

Our gas dryer, same series, has had the moisture sensors replaced, and more recently the motherboard replaced, and still can't dry for s#!t. We have Geek Squad coming back out hoping that they lemon it too.

Repair guy even told us that they *hate* Samsung appliances. We got this one and absolutely love it.

Breaking my months of lurking silence to save people lots of money and aggravation due to this SD paid ad.

Samsung makes the most unreliable appliances on the planet. Run away.

After a bum fridge, washer and dryer I will never buy a Samsung appliance ever again. Have had to have each repaired multiple times. The models I bought had good reviews at the time I bought them but they quickly broke down and Samsung's customer service is pathetic.

I just want to state for the record that, while I work for Slickdeals, I'm on the tech development side of the business for some backend data services. So professionally, I do not get any incentives for posting any deals for any store at all. Due to the data stuff that I work on, I saw this pretty good price drop, best-price of all-time for this product almost, so I posted the deal for fun.

Regarding the Samsung debate, I'm quite aware of the bad press that Samsung gets especially within the SD community. Personally, I have no issues with Samsung appliance and I actually love them. I haven't lived long enough to live with enough different brands of appliance to be an expert on the matter. All I can share is that, I have lived both Samsung and Viking appliances for over 6 yrs each. In those 6 yrs, Samsung were more reliable than Viking. Related to this washer/dryer deal, I have a different model of Samsung washer/dryer for 8 yrs, never had a problem, zero service calls. For a Samsung fridge that I had, I had 1 icing up incident that blocked the ice, but in the same time span, that happened to my Viking fridge 3 times.

Obviously this is just my personal experience. Just sharing. Again, I have NO incentive at all to promote neither Samsung or Best Buy.

That USED to be true. Since those horrible recalls, failures, and parts issues, Samsung has tried hard to resurrect its name in the appliance industry. If I'm not mistaken, they ranked #2 behind LG last year.
Tried is not enough. They HAVE to succeed and it seems that you're unsure. Thank you.

Unless you have the need to stack, front
Loaded washers are terrible. We went back to a TOP loader without an agitator and it works awesome. I have LG from Costco and it's been a good buy after 5 years we run it on average 20 times a week

I guess we've been lucky - stove, fridge, washer/dryer have all been Samsung with no issues. Just replaced our fridge but that was after 10 years.

Can you clarify what you're saying? I see front loader terrible, front loader awesome.

A Raspberry Pi RP2040 can run AI... That's only like $7.50. Samsung is probably charging $100 extra for the marketing term AI.

I don't know if this is still an issue or not but sharing anyway. I have a samsung washer (this one [samsung.com]) that is about 8 years old or so. Still runs, but I started to notice some 'grossness' after loads. After a lot of investigation and disassembling, I figured out that (aside from the previous owner of my home being terrible about cleaning and maintenance) the spider arm is probably starting to corrode. I have absolutely no idea if they have resolved this in newer models - it looks like there was a recall for front load ones way back when. I contact samsung and they basically tried to convince me to buy a new one -_- whenever I replace this one I will likely shy away from samsung.

This [youtube.com]was a good reference video for me. As was this [youtube.com] and this [youtube.com] though I think the latter is for front load.

Thoughts on this deal? Family needs a new washer and dryer...
I have the Flexwash wash/dry (gas) and LOVE it. Example: https://www.costco.com/samsung-6....05064.html

I am a person who screams from the mountaintop about how awful the Samsung fridge I inherited was. I also though had a Samsung washer/dryer from 2013. When I sold my house the month I was getting it ready the dryer FINALLY broke. 10 years is pretty damn good for something the next person just gotta fix heating coil wise.

While this drum is "bigger" than my Flexwash, I prefer having the two tubs. I was able to still fit a huge blanket in it and get it clean. The "A.I" isn't that impressive and you can honestly forget all about it. It's just SmartThings telling you "recipes" on how to wash clothes.

Biggest things to notate:

- Use less washing detergent as it suds heavily, especially if you have a water softener which also does such a thing

- Get the pedestals. I am waiting on sales for those as it's my first front washer and dang, bending over is awful.

Why do we need AI in washer/dryer?
Will it talk to you about how dirty your clothes areSmilie
Is there a premium charge for a machine with AI in name? lol
