I got one the last time they had these. The scooter I got was fine. Looked like they hit it with some touchup paint. The scooter had been ridden about 30 Km according to the app record of the vehicle. For me, it was still a decent deal. Hopefully, other will have as good a luck or better with their orders. I would get another, but the shipping charge is significant. Glad the OP included it in the cost rather than tack it on after.

Just got one at a higher price last week. Looks barely used. 300 miles on the app. But half a mile in the front fender broke off. And the thing sounds like a shotgun on the smallest of sidewalk bumps. Not sure if return and replace or not.

Bought at 239 free ship as the "refurbished" with 1 year warranty instead of the open box at 189.99 (was 249?) That doesn't have free ship and doesn't have 1 year manufacturer warranty.

Newegg shouldn't be selling used products as open-box. Their disclaimer is quite ridiculous.

Don't buy open box scooters. They always have a bunch of miles on them, they come to you pretty beat up, and a lot of the time the thing is DOA.

I'd rather pay the extra $100 for a new one.

This seemed like a good alternative to my hover 1 Blackhawk that has lost a bunch of range. Fortunately I bought the 3 year warranty so definitely won't be buying another scooter without. Is anyone actually getting close to the 28 mile range?

I would say no - not worth it, especially since it is from Newegg. If it was from Amazon or direct from the manufacturer, then maybe. Newegg isn't what it used to be, and has had a number of reports of bad customer service over the last however many years.

For things like scooters, it also depends on your weight and the distance you'd intend to travel. I don't know how often manufacturers oversell their specs like miles it should provide per charge, but for sure it'll be a smaller number if you're a heavier rider. Check out the subreddits for electric scooters and do some reading. I wouldn't recommend just buying a budget used one like this.
