So when presented with evidence, your argument is simply "fake news"? I bet I know what channel you mostly watch.

Yes, Tesla got huge tax breaks as well in the US. Nobody disputing that. How in any way does that disprove that BYD received tax breaks?

Everyone enjoys tax break for EV purchases, no doubt!
Tesla is the biggest beneficiary from China and US and from around world for EV incentive policies

Should I quit my job to qualify for the tax credit?
Yes. You should. Its disgusting for you to make over $300K when the national average is below 60K. Big Grin

New model Y rear wheel drive is under 44K hence qualifies for NJ state Tax credit of 4K.
If you were looking for Model 3 RWD its good time to buy Model Y for extra $6k you get big and better EV.

"Better" is relative. Some of us prefer a lower to the group more agile car than an SUV/Crossover.

Lol last time someone posted this as a "deal" (it's not) I suggested you wait around because more price cuts are coming.
23 days later anyone that bought then just paid $2000 more for that "deal."
Proving it's not a deal.

Well. Fully loaded EUV is not AWD, so only can compare to MY RWD which around $44k or less.
I rather have FWD than RWD.
But in case compare fully loaded EUV to MY RWD. That is around 8k cheaper.

I would not get fully loaded EUV
- sun roof which is standard with Tesla
- Super cruise (autopilot is better with Tesla)
- Vegan leather seat (standard with Tesla)

I would get myseld EUV LT that is all which should be under $30k.. EV technology will have major breakthru every 3-5 years.

Bolt charging from 0-80% can take 45 - 60 minutes
Tesla can be 15 - 25 minutes if you doing long trip
Ventilated seats on the EUV are a huge advantage as well. Such a dramatic feature in warmer climates. Super Cruise is excellent for highway driving. I also don't like how the Model Y rides (it's harsh, compared to the EUV), but of course that's subjective, too.

Again, we're talking about a nearly $10k difference between a fully loaded EUV and even with the RWD Model Y. Not saying the Tesla is a bad car; it's a fine choice. But I'd gladly pocket the ~$10k and enjoy the Bolt for a few years while tech continues to improve.

Imagine that. A lock that requires a key. Crazy.
Let me introduce you to the Lock Picking Lawyer. No keyed lock is safe. You think bank vaults use keys?

I can't imagine what these cars will be worth in just 3 years when they flood the used market. Up until last year, EVs (including Tesla) were holding value pretty well. I knew eventually they would come down but didn't think it would be so fast. These price cuts are also relentless. Looks like Tesla is trying their best to flood the market with their cars so it's difficult for other manufacturers to make a dent in sales

Actually after the end of the year I bet the used Tesla prices go up, right now used Tesla's are competing against New Tesla's with the 7500 tax rebate, a lot of time it's better to just get a new one and it will end up close to the same price as the used one due to tax rebates, but the tax rebate is set to be reduced by the end of the year which should boost used prices.

Lot's of weird hate in here for Tesla's, they are just a car why are you people getting all worked up about them? I wouldn't mind getting one for my daily commute and keeping my truck for everything else, their batteries come with 8 year, 100k warranties so I'm not even worried about longetivity.

EV or hybrid will require a battery replacement in the long term. Don't forget that.

Overrated, inflated and not luxury. Somewhat a bit radical too

As a TSLA shareholder, I don't understand why they lower the price.
If they offer $7500 off of their lease deals (just as other manufacturers do), Tesla can easily sell as many as they build.

Are Teslas built that bad? I'm considering an electric car.
I love my '23 MYLR. It's a great car to drive and it costs me a fraction to operate than my previous car did.

I'm not a fan of their ketamine laden CEO, and there were some hiccups - customer service isn't the greatest, minor issues at delivery were present but all corrected. Once all that was done, the car has performed flawlessly.

You're lucky in that there is a lot of competition now which gives you plenty of options, though - so be sure to have a look at others. Don't listen to a lot of agenda driven internet naysayers - find the car communities and actual owners and get opinions from them.
