I am considering this but live in an apartment with no charging infrastructure. I might be able to charge at my work but I'm not sure. I see a few teslas in my apartment parking lot but haven't talked to the owners. Does this make any sense for an apartment dweller ? I can't imagine taking car to a charger every 1-2 week for charge and sitting there for a few hours for full charge.
A friend got a Tesla and doesn't have a home charger. At times he has to sit for a couple hours to charge. I opted for a hybrid. 50mpg with Camry hybrid

Hybrid is the worst. You get both a crappy engine AND a crappy electric powerplant. You get all the negatives of both without any really good example of either.
I'm personally going to pick one or the other. If i own multiple cars, why would i want one that still has to do oil changes and/or replacement 12v installation??

Maybe if I'm a long distance road tripper, then yes hybrid is best.

Companies just pushing car sales out, deal with recalls later. Not sure if Teslas poor assembly matters when it comes to most companies doing recalls

Ugly Cars and really bad drivers! No thanks, I wouldn't want to be associated with the type of person that drives one of these ..

I wonder if I should trade in my model 3 for model y. I hate all the interior noise from model 3.
If you want quality, trade it in for a non-Tesla. I was going to buy a Tesla but it's miserable to be a passenger in one.

How can you say a car that's only been available for four years last forever? Have you heard of battery degradation. In 10 years from now your batter range will be closer 200 miles if it still works. On top of this you aren't exempt from bearing replacement, tie rods, control arms and bushings. We have no idea how long these will cars will last.
Some people have put 200k+ miles on model 3 and Y. The batteries maintain over 80% initial capacity

Dropped by $2K.
I got mine last year and paid $70k for the performance edition. With $7500 rebate and price drops, I am down over $25k compared to today… absolutely hate Tesla for that. But if you are looking to buy one, this is the best time to buy!

Are tesla dealers staffed by lower class, sleazy, aggressive sales types like all other dealerships?

Is the price posted in this deal the price I would see on the sticker ?
There are no Tesla sales staff at least what I experienced. You preorder the car online when its ready for delivery you go to to the dealer, inspect it and ask for any repairs to be made.
You drive off the lot. For me was the best car buying experience ever. Took my time went through several checklist made by some Youtubers, Found almost nothing but small cosmetic items which they addressed on site. Was in and out in less then 2 hours, most of that time was me going through the checklist. Payment and all the paper work handled ahead of time outside of signing a few docs.

The problem with Teslas (other than Elon) is every Tesla over 5 years old is starting to look like a 10 year old Nissan Altima. They're not holding up well.

"the cons are: rough ride, noisy, tire wear, and low battery if you go longer distance than 3 hours. all I can think of."

Your electricity still comes from fossil fuel power plants, batteries are extremely expensive to replace, extra heavy weight does more damage to our infrastructure and releases more toxic tire dust while driving, battery + salt may equal huge fire that could burn down your house if in garage and will take 10k-20k gallons of water to extinguish, not good for the economy there. Also takes longer to charge than pumping gas for 4 minutes.
I won't blame you for all these misinformation (or what they call FUDS). Stop reading the media bashing and go do some real research for yourself. You'll find none of these are true (some could be true years ago but not any more with current tech). You can't pump gas at home! but takes 10 seconds to plug it in every few days.

Remember this EVs are here to save the Automotive industry not the planet.
Tesla, Ford, GM or any German automotive manufacturer- the drill is same - subpar quality at a high price tag in the name of saving the planet.

About Tesla, I've been a 8-year user of MS - Thai car is nuts and it's a timebomb (cost wise) ready to explode my wallet!
Fan boys are another thing altogether. Just a bunch of boy band sort of adults with zero thought and grey cells working.

This "Car" perpetuates modern day slavery. You think you're helping the environment, but Ive seen the lithium mining operations first hand. Its horrific. Every person driving one of these monstrosities needs to take a good hard look in the mirror and then punch themselves in the face

Are Teslas built that bad? I'm considering an electric car.
They aren't perfect but model Y is still by far the best car I have ever owned. The performance, cargo, and the tech features are unmatched. Also home charging was saving us about $100 a month vs fuel and supercharging network is excellent at Tesla. I just completed a 2500 mile road trip in the model Y and it was a piece of cake with autopilot/supercharging.

Just got a base Model 3. Discounted 4k, with the 7.5k tax credit. Getting any new car for under $30k, I'm happy with. And it's fun to drive. I don't have expectations that a base Model 3 is some luxury car.
