Most Tesla fan have no idea what those parts are. It's a bunch of isheep who think they can knowledge transfer from a computer to cars.
I like Teslas and having built many cars and worked on race teams could likely run circles around you when it comes to mechanics. Control arms and bearings are wearable items on any vehicle, and they are easily replaceable so why is that even a concern? Do you honestly believe these touted million mile vehicles haven't had items like these replaced as well?

If the Y is anything like the 3, then no thanks. The 3 feels so cheap.

How were you able to see the interior from your lowered Lexus with the Tesla towering over you?
My Neighbors brother bought one years ago. Not sure which model, it was one of the higher end ones. I don't like the stark interior; I find Tesla's very unattractive in general.

Model Y is not much better. Trust me. I hate it.
I've owned mine since 12/2020. I have 41,000 miles and counting and have had not one problem. I love it and would buy another in a heart beat.

I've had my model y for going on 3 years now. Not a single issue. Only thing that had to fixed on delivery was a center rear passenger seatbelt button, and they came to my house to replace it. Some have definitely had different experiences than I have but I think overall it's a great alternative to other CUVs in the space

You mentioned crappy EV companies Rivian and Lucid [google.com], they are crappy American company [google.com] , none of them is Chinese companies, they don't have batteries technologies, that is why they are failing..
The world largest EV company [fool.com] actually it is BYD in China.
If you don't know , now you should know!
I don't think BYD is the best, they are the cheapest for what you get and why they are #1. They forced Tesla to drop it's prices in China multiple times and Tesla can't compete where BYD competes (sans import taxes). I think Geely is better than BYD since they have engineering and design expertise when they got Volvo, Polestar, and Lotus.

On the political side BYD is also making a lot of money along with other Chinese brands selling cars in Russia after American and European car companies pulled out. I think Geely is also selling in Russia but they also have a factory in Ukraine.

The only Chinese made EV you can get in the US will be the Volvo EX30 and Volvo is "side-stepping" the 27.5% Chinese import tax by having their US factory making the bigger EX90 EV. There is a manufacturing loophole to the Chinese import tax. BYD can't wait to get their cars in the US and actually make EV buses in a Lancaster, CA factory.

I do enjoy the wheelsboy youtube channel that reviews Chinese EVs. You'll see why Tesla can't compete. He'll actually import Chinese EVs for you if you are outside of North America.

RIP Vinfast. Haha!

I remember people racing to buy the last "deals".

These cars are cool toys but don't hold up long-term.

Get a Honda or Toyota. If you know, you know. If not, keep on enjoying your money pits.

Hybrid is the best of both worlds IMO. Especially plug-in Hybrid.

Also Musk is fraud and lies almost continually about what these cars can do, from range to full self-driving.
this. I will be more willing to buy if Musk is no longer there.

Battery degradation significantly slows down after the first 1-2 years.

Regardless, the items you listed aren't high ticket repairs.
You do not know cars well. Add in coolant lines, 8 alone just to the battery, with a few requiring battery removal to get to. Then pumps, etc. All add up. This is not a flawless vehicle, and yes, even requires fluid changes.

Not to mention they are boring, to both drive and look at. Been in multiple Teslas, only one I liked was a P100D. The 3 and Y were flat out as exciting as looking at carpet.

Yeah. ICE is a thing in the past when oil is controlled by dictators in OPEC. EV is in the early future when the climate changes, but how you charge your EV during natural disaster and power outages.
Do you know how your battery is made? They need to excavate millions of tons of earth to get cobalt and other minerals using…. Guess ???

They use heavy machinery, dump trucks, excavators, etc. that use dead dinosaur corpses and spew worse pollution than a modern car with worse fuel economy.

Lucky for you, many mines are using green technology… human slave labor, children included.

Is anything happening to the $7,500 federal tax incentive in 2024?
