As long as you don't have a service or God forbid accident problem, Tesla is fun to drive. However, once you have an issue, customer service is non existent. Will take months to get your car back and even then not fixed properly (they had my x for 3 months) am still dealing with the issues

Depends on what ICE.. unless it's a Toyota or Honda, don't even bother. Also, I have a pilot, and it gives me 18 mpg. Since my wife got Model Y, my gas bill is down 80%. Idc about save the planet BS, all I care about is that I save shit load of money driving this SUV over Pilot. Y fill up costs me $13.
lol? I have a manual 2010 7.2 powerstroke with 300k miles and all i did was change the water pump..i'm still on the original clutch
And someone said his cost is $10 a night to charge Tesla from 80% to full each night and gas has to be at $9 a gallon to spend that much on his ice car..You might not pay for gas but you pay for electricity

The income caps are so stupid as $150k is barely enough to not sleep w/ cockroaches on your face in some cities and a small fortune in others

Why doesn't title say long range? So basically they got rid of the awd standard range and want people to pay extra $2k for long range if they want awd.
Not sure why the OP listed long range and not the standard range @ $36,499 atc.

Why would you quote the base price then have the dual motor LR in the description?

The 3 feels like a Corolla, but people are upset because it costs more.
Coming from an accord and the tesla seems better.

It does feel like the days when stis and evo8/9s were all the rage (interior on the tesla is 10x better thou). Cheap cars with huge horsepower.

To each his own. One time, I saw this lady cash out here Citi rewards check at Costco. I forget it was a big number and if you did the backwards math, you knew that the lady's annual spending was really high. And she said that she charged everything to her Costco Visa.

I kind of felt bad for her - I don't get such a big rewards check from Costco because I am trying to maximize each credit card. So while any of my cards don't generate as much as her amount, combined my cards probably generate lot more than her for a lower spend.

So going back to 100k+ balance in an account - almost feels that the person is not maximizing their resources. I have less than $2K in my checking account, less than $200 in my Ally account - and that is because all my money is elsewhere making me more money. So yeah - I probably would feel a bit sad when I see that account balance but sad about the fact that the person is "probably" not maximizing their returns.

Going back to Costco - people happily cash their checks on merchandise. Please don't. Just buy some bananas and get the rest in cash. Then buy the rest of the goods using a 3-4% return credit card. So even if you had a $200 rewards check, 4% of that is $8 - pays for a cheapie lunch - for just being a bit slick at the cash counter.
Thanks for the response.

Ah, but if that person already has millions invested and spends a lot, $100K in a bank account is more reasonable than it may seem.

IMO, Trader Joe's > Costco/BJs, without paying an annual fee. Not bashing either though, to be clear.

You didn't really answer the question... if the amount on the receipt vastly exceeds your entire net worth, would you feel bad? The point is you shouldn't. nod

I drove a Mach E at my local ford dealership the day they announced the lower prices. My local dealer is selling below msrp and offering 0 percent financing. Compared the model Y the Mach e did feel more comfortable and it had familiar ergonomics but driving dynamics and sheer acceleration were better in the Y
I am on my second Mach E Premium (lease). I think that it is the best vehicle that I have driven. I am surprised that you found the driving dynamics to be superior in the Model Y. My experience has been quite the opposite. My 2023.5 Mach E is RWD and I actually prefer it to the eAWD that I had on the 2021 model

Yup, even the stock is still amazing after all this time.
This year alone, 101 to 299, nearly triple! Cool

U got lucky with ur car. There are more junk ice cars on roads like Hyundai, Kia and Fords than Teslas for sure. As long as ppl got Corolla Camry they are fine otherwise its a hit or a miss. God save em if they're driving a German car. Also at 13cents/kwh electricity it costs me few bucks to charge it full at home, don't know how much ur friends paying for electricity but that's insane.
