The AWD and range increase makes this a decently easy choice now, frankly these cars last forever, teslas ability to make the car an appliance means youll likely keep it in your family for years upon years, youll either give it to your parents, sister, kid, etc after 8 years. $4500 over 8 years is only extra $562. Its almost "regret insurance" at that point, if every year you get into a situation where you wish you had awd and slightly more range than youll kick yourself for not having gotten this. (I also think the LR has subwoofers and rwd doesnt... but someone would have to confirm that for me)
And the replacement battery is how much ?

The only reason there are dropping prices is because of the decline in sales and competition from other auto makers.

Right now Toyota is given instant $7500 rebate for the bz and lexus is given $10,000 rebate for the rz. Why are such deals not been posted here. Why Tesla always been here.
Because dealers markups and unknowns/YMMV.

You keep touting replacement batteries, powertrain on EV in the US is covered at least 8years/100k miles whichever comes first.

Some manufacturers are doing this that do not qualify for the federal incentives. See the consumer reports list above. Toyota is first in quality, but the vehicle needs to fit your specific needs. It was too high off the ground for me and my wife and I bumped my head getting into the seat (5'7"). Also, the steering wheel blocked a good view of the speedometer. But a quality SUV.

Looks like the 2024 Equinox could be a contender.

BTW/ not anti any brand as long as it works for a long time.laugh out loud

The RZ with a pathetic 195 mile EPA rated range is sad, that's why nobody mentions it here.

It's not really due to competition. Yes there is more competition, but if you look at sales trends by other manufactures, you'll see that they're struggling as much right now. The real battle is the recession and higher interest rates right now.

I wonder if I should trade in my model 3 for model y. I hate all the interior noise from model 3.
3 is more quiet. Trust me

My dealership said they refuse to take Tesla trade-ins anymore because of this unpredictable price fluctuations from Tesla. Dealers are losing money because what they offered for the trade-ins few months ago are now several thousands lower. So dealers are either losing money or breaking even. So your Model 3 trade -in is either rejected or you probably don't want to hear the ridiculous low ball offer on your trade-in!!
He is going to trade in with Tesla . Not other dealership. Tesla will take Tesla back but could be low ball offer. I am not sure what year of the model 3. Probably lucky to get $25k if the car older than 3 years

Kyle from out of spec rates the Lexus and Toyota EVs as a total poop show.

Tesla website says reductions likely after Dec 31, what if tesla would not apply the full $7500 credit to the purchase but apply partially. do you think that's possible?
Tesla sources their battery especially LFP from China
I think recently there is lawyer from US government starts to question Tesla.
Of course, Tesla did the tricks make their car qualified but in 2024 where
the car part chemical sources from are more strict.

That was why few Chinese battery companies are trying to build battery factories in US.

There is YouTube channel I usually watch EV viking

I agree with everything people say but just like when smartphones came out, a lot of people including myself were still blackberry fans. Once you make the switch to Tesla you don't / can't go back. As my wife says it's the best car for a woman as it needs no maintenance at all!
Tesla has no dealers, so they can do anything they want with the price. Go to any dealer, they mark up the price anywhere from 3-10k over the MSRP.
