I have the g-sync version. (AW3423DW, non-F) I do not have any blurry text. Color fringing of text is supposedly an issue with both DWF and DW models, but I personally notice no issue with text on my DW. There is an app called Cleartype native to windows that may assist with this, source: anecdotes on reddit.

I did the DW over the DWF because of the G-Sync Ultimate module. The DWF does have better input latency than the DW on paper, but I havent used a DWF so I can't comment on how it feels vs the DW. The DW latency feels good to me, and I was coming from a Dell S2721DGF which I think has similar latency to the DWF.

At $800 this is pretty awesome, though.

EDIT: There is a major difference in how you update the firmware of the monitors:

DWF firmware can be updated via a software download from the manufacturers website

DW supposedly needs to be physically shipped back to Dell to update it there, and wait for its return. Purchased my DW in Sept. 2023, Firmware version I have is M0B204.
Go find a cheaper curved wide-screen *OLED* 144hz 2K monitor then
I had the 42" LG C2 on my desk for 3 months before buying this one. Reasonable minds can certainly differ, but I far prefer the Dell for desktop use, on a massive desk, both for productivity and gaming. As compared to the C2, the Dell is free from auto-dimming, has no input lag, and frankly, I also strongly prefer watching streaming media content on the aw3423dw because it doesn't highlight compression artifacts/noise the way the C2 does. HDR is also much more impressive on the qd-oled dell. The C2 will give you a pristine 4k image with the right content (and a lot of fiddling with settings), but personally, I've learned my lesson about trying to use a TV as a monitor.

How is this monitor for 100% office use? Will the usb-c connection charge a 2020 MacBook Pro? What about the 140w 2021 models?
Is there a cheaper alternative?
I don't know about your other questions, but I would not get this for 100% office use. The two best features of this monitor are the fact that it's ultrawide, providing more immersion in games, and the "inky blacks", which are great for movies and games. The fact that this isn't 4K makes it less great for media consumption. I'd rank the use of this monitor in this order: gaming, media, productivity.

Rtings is my go-to site for getting information about display panels. You should check out this: https://www.rtings.com/monitor/re...ess-office

If you're looking for something unique for office use and an ultrawide isn't it for you, check this out: https://www.amazon.com/LG-28MQ780...D5C7H?th=1

It looks like there is a deal on the Dual Up right now: https://slickdeals.net/f/17041726-lg-dualup-28mq780-b-16-18-sdqhd-ips-hdr-monitor-557-60-ebay?src=jfy&prop=rcmid-0a6d243479a41ea69073c8989e345be9

On Best Buy's website it says it comes with the 3 year quality assurance that includes Burn in. Where does it say you can only get it if you buy directly from dell?

I have this and bought it for a hundred more. My desk has an elevated 42" 4k monitor that does PbP, a vertical 24" TN panel, and my work laptop. This replaces a 27" 2k flat monitor that was sitting on the desk slightly angled up so that I can see the 42" without obstruction.

Because of the curve, angling this up even a little messes up the view.

Even if this wasn't an issue, I would have preferred my wife's 38" 1600p Ultrawide LED. I have no burn-in, but I have to keep worrying about it despite having the 3 yr warranty.

Anyone else who has this have an issue with the screen going black for a second or so before coming back on?

I was able to chat with Dell and receive an additional $50 off after asking about a better price for a competing Samsung monitor. Came in the form of a price request custom quote via email and took 3 days.

Price: $749
-Amex $120 off of $599+ promo
= $629 +tax (though tax is owed on the full $ 749)

I suspect this may mean that on BF we will see a $749 general price.

Lucked out and picked this up for $400 a few days ago. Looks better than my C2 OLED that I was using for a monitor.

Can you get the $120 credit with the AMEX Blue Everyday Card? I think it's the entry level card

You have to check your offers on the web or in your account and add it to your card. It was on my Hilton Surpass, not on the Hilton Aspire.

I was just back from Microcenter. text clolor fringing is no joke of this OLED monitor. I actually lean toward the 38 inch one for production and casual gaming.
