Amazon Fresh often heavily discounts product when they are about to expire. Prices are usually regional. I've ordered pet treats expiring a week after I received it and coffee expiring in 2 days. Still a great price generally the dog food I have received expire in 1-2 months and if lucky you may get a further expiration.

most of the time when i've gotten deeply discounted products from them, they actually weren't that close to expiring. it has happened a couple times, though. i'm going to donate the bags i bought to a local shelter, so i don't think they'll mind if they're close to the expiration date
