This isn't necessarily a bad thing at all. New models is how they're able to sell the older ones at these prices. I have the RP-280FAs which are "older" models and they're farkin' amazing.

If you are building out a full system, ASD has a really good deal for a 5.1 setup with and Onkyo TX-RZ50 on their direct website. Basically a set of the speakers here with $400-$450+ off the cost of the amp.

i'll be honest, with the headache i had with past onkyo amps
ill pass..... so far denon, sony, yamaha have all worked well

Does pair of 8060FA hooks up to one L and one R channel on AVR or needs 2 more channels for up firing part ?
If you go to the amazon listing, and spin the 360 degree view around, the top firing atmos needs its own connections.
They also are not standard L/R inputs, you have to have an atmos ready receiver.
