As a general consideration of outdoor furniture, real wood simply doesn't last very long in the elements and will require maintenance to keep in decent condition. It's worth looking for something made of Polywood (or other synthetic materials). It'll be more pricey, but there's basically zero maintenance even if left outdoors all year long.

Yeah, you might get a season out of it. Maybe longer on a covered porch.
