Overall quality of view is going to be better. Better glass and better coatings mean a sharper image and less chromatic aberration (purple fringing around the edges). Other things that could factor in could be field of view (how large the circle you see looking through it) and eye relief (how far your eyes can be from the glass while still seeing the full image which is important if you wear glasses).

How obvious or important these improvements are to you will vary by user. In some ways its one of those "you don't know what you're missing" things where you won't see a ton of difference with these until you use them for a bit and then try to go back to a lower-quality model.

Vortex Vipers are very well regarded model by optics nerds. Reliable, solid view for the money, and maybe the best warranty around. The case and the fact that this looks like the newest model make this as good of a deal on them as I've ever seen. BassPro/Cabelas usually do a Christmas time sale on them for the same price, but its been the older version without the case.

If they'd ever offer this deal in 8x42 I'd almost certainly own a pair.

This is a really nice price OP. Normally $499.

I started with a slickdeal on the Vortex crossfire, upgraded with a slickdeal on the Vortex Diamondback and might now go to Vortex Viper.

Edited: I bought this slickdeal. Focus is a good company to work with and Vortex warranty is very good.

Could someone who received item from focus camera verify whether you receive newest model V201 or old model?

Vortex has the best lifetime warranty on the market. Short of deliberately smashing them with a hammer, they'll replace them. You buy for life with these.

The quality of the lenses and lens coating are mainly what make these the price they are.

I got these on the last SD and they are amazing. Super clear, well built, good dusk/night use (although that is dependent on the objective lens & magnification, 10 x 50 would let in more light), locking diopter ring is nice.

I have several Vortex optics products (riflescopes, red dots, rings, etc.) and I'm a big fan of their products and company, especially for the price.

I don't think I have ever dealt with a company that has such good customer service and their free Vortex Nation podcast is a wealth of info. Their staff is a bunch of hunting/firearms enthusiasts so even if you just need advice, they are a great resource.

Their lifetime warranty is by far the best in the business.

As far as binoculars go, I have a pair of Diamondback HD's and those are widely regarded as the best bang for the buck in their bino lineup.
I got a great deal on the 10x42 last year for $132 so it was a no brainer.

It's not that the binoculars don't get better as you go up the lineup, they 100% do but as most things in optics, you just get diminishing returns as you go past a certain point.

Agreed with everything above.

To add to the "you don't know what you're missing" part, however, I think for some people, higher end optics might not actually even matter because they are limited by their own eyesight.

I've always had good eyes and when I went from a Crossfire riflescope to a Viper, it was like immediately seeing in HD and it was a significant difference.
I've had other people look through both scopes, however, and mention that the Viper looks brighter but they can't really tell the difference otherwise.

Thank you so much for your help!

Lastly before I decide to pull the trigger, I went and check and what I have right now is Bushnell 7-15x35 (model 13-7136). While I don't mind spending money, do you experts think that I will definitely notice enough difference to go "wow"? I know it's a pretty silly question, but as an amature, 7-15x35 already outzoom it, with options. But 35 vs 42 lens is something I'm not certain about.

Thanks again!
