You're not wrong about DTO refurbs, but I've gotten lucky a few times. To be fair, a lot of refurbs are just the mfr chucking it into a box to resell.

It's pretty great in the summer. It pulled some emergency duty last weekend drying up the remnants of a basement water intrusion because of all the rain we got in the NE. Runs for about 6.5hrs on high with the 4ah battery.

In my experience I have opened up every single recon tool I got for them and most of them had a brand new motor installed with a sharpie date written on it when it was replaced. A few of the drill/impacts had the triggers replaced.

These are great in places with low humidity. Bought one to put on the sidelines for the kids soccer games so they can cool down on the bench. Be aware that even on the lowest mist setting everything in front of the fan will get soaked and you'll eventually get puddles on whatever the bucket is sitting on.

The flat rate shipping is a bummer for single items, but when you order a miter saw, miter saw stand, backpack sprayer, and assorted small tools and only get charged 15 bucks for all that? It's not bad.

I can't say I like it, but I get it.

You can apparently get replacement tips that have a finer mist and does not soak you. From what I understand you want replacement tips anyways as they will eventually clog

Yep, been burned by this… had to do chargeback since their customer service is worthless… in the end, I won the chargeback and still fixed their broken tool that they falsely represented as "reburbished" when it was just a broken tool missing key parts. Thank goodness I am handy and savvy, cus most the time these sketchy businesses count on customers just taking the L.

I got this before from them. I used it while working on concrete and it has worked great. Other than not using it as much as I wanted, I've never had any issue.

It's not just refurbished. I'm having issues with the 18v shop vac kit from last deal (blemished). Used it 2x and now it won't turn on and dealing with ryobi customer service.

Worst customer service ever. 3x on hold 30 min each and still couldn't get through. The only repair shop for them is over an hr away.

I consider ryobi as throw away tools. I have makita for the good tools but ryobi has many small tools that makita/Milwaukee doesn't make
