This looks like a good price. I'm not into drawing but I guess I can start.

Is it worth it just for the express keys and hot cells?

How useful is this for something like photoshop? For creating masks and selections better than by mouse.
I've gotten pretty good at it by mouse, but this seems far easier.

Depends on your preference and use. I have a Wacom with 6 buttons and a wheel that I never use. I find it faster to hit keys on a keyboard.

My kid likes to draw by hand. I was thinking of grabbing this as a Christmas present. It would give him another option to try for art.

How easy is this to use in Windows? Is it pretty much plug and play, at least after installing drivers? Does a lot of software recognize and work with these tablets with minimal fuss? Or would we be limited to very specific apps?

This is something I use all the time. I transitioned from Wacom tablets to this tablet years ago. It works great and gets the job done. I'm a professional photographer and use it for retouching and other creative work.

Can I use it on gartic phone? I'll probably still manage to draw terribly. I'm gonna go ahead and assume the stylus is not included? Monoprice got my ass again with these deals xD
