Another way to look at it is you're getting a discount on the TV if you finance because money has value over time. Even if you could buy it outright, throwing that cash in a Treasury bill gets you 5% annually

Adding from the previous 77" thread…

Got 77" for 2105 before tax, including extra 10% from chat and $100 credit for tv trade in. Don't suspect it goes lower this year.

Mine arrived, but was cracked and no picture. Have to return and reorder, no replacements through Samsung.com. Also have to wait to get the price match to the reorder until after second order ships. They appear to only ship on Fridays so waiting a week for all of it. Huge pain.

It's a big discount but I probably won't order direct from Samsung again. This is the case where I may well wait until BF now and buy elsewhere.

Finance the TV at 0% and put the money in Treasuries or CD

Anyone have any idea what the 77 in will drop to around BF?
Considering we have already seen multiple deals for around 2350. I would say 2100-2200 is extremely likely and I'm personally expecting someone to sell it for 2000. Below that is possible but I doubt it.

If you go on live chat on the website you can ask if there is an additional 10% promo. They will add it to your cart and send you a checkout link.

Are there any qd-oleds as good as the 77 Samsung in the 83 inch range? I have a older 75 Sony x900f, thinking either should look a lot better though

also 65" for $1529
Samsung showed the 65" S90C as $1529 with the AAA discount but after I added it to the shopping cart and went to checkout the price increases to $1619. Effectively the AAA discount on that TV went down from 15% to 10%. I'm not sure why.

I was ready to buy this set, but then this fact killed it - 83-inch model uses a WOLED panel instead of the QD-OLED. Wait until next year for the 83 when it should have the QD-OLED panel.

Bidenomics: Price slashed from $1900 to $3300 and your choice is to love it.
When the deal went POPULAR, slickdeals edited the list price from $5399.99 to the list price of the 55" ($1899.99) for some reason. It won't let me change it back.

EDIT: SDs changed it back...

I was concerned about this but after reading up and watching some of the YouTube reviewers like Stop the Fomo, it sounds like it isn't a deal breaker. The content will just be displayed in HDR10 instead of DV. The advantages of the QD-OLED will outweigh any loss from DV. Obviously if you want both get the Sony A95L but pay $3K more.

Paying off a TV even at 0% for three years…what has society come to…
This makes a lot of financial sense, assuming one does not use the money to buy more crap they don't need. But if they deposit that money into a high yield CD/TBill/Savings account they can get 5% easy… then inflation eat the cost away
