Another way to look at it is you're getting a discount on the TV if you finance because money has value over time. Even if you could buy it outright, throwing that cash in a Treasury bill gets you 5% annually

Adding from the previous 77" thread…

Got 77" for 2105 before tax, including extra 10% from chat and $100 credit for tv trade in. Don't suspect it goes lower this year.

Mine arrived, but was cracked and no picture. Have to return and reorder, no replacements through Samsung.com. Also have to wait to get the price match to the reorder until after second order ships. They appear to only ship on Fridays so waiting a week for all of it. Huge pain.

It's a big discount but I probably won't order direct from Samsung again. This is the case where I may well wait until BF now and buy elsewhere.

Finance the TV at 0% and put the money in Treasuries or CD

Just ordered for the same deal last night. Now you have me worried I am going to get a broken panel. Wonder if I should cancel and wait to get it closer to BF.

People need to live within their means and budget. They should outlaw all this financing death trap stuff.

And to the poster that said "it's just a thing they do 20% of their lives," go get a cheaper tv then.
It is not about if you have the money or not. I can afford 5 of these TV and 6 if I put one in my main bathroom. Why would I give my money to any company in advance if I can pay in 3, 5, 10 years interest free? My money in CD's, money market accounts is making me money when I am sleeping. I can pay this TV in 3 years with the interest my money is making me. And if I die tomorrow my money stays with my family not some corporation.

I was concerned about this but after reading up and watching some of the YouTube reviewers like Stop the Fomo, it sounds like it isn't a deal breaker. The content will just be displayed in HDR10 instead of DV. The advantages of the QD-OLED will outweigh any loss from DV. Obviously if you want both get the Sony A95L but pay $3K more.
Not quite. HDR10 and DV aren't interchangeable. Unless both are offered in the content then yes. Personally I have yet to see anything in HDR10+ content really.

My buddy got it for 3700 with taxes otd, 103 a month 0 % 3 years, using the triple a and the 10% off coupon on this forum, ty repped!
What does this remind me of these days: Car loans. It went from 3-4 year to now 7 or even 8 year loans. I don't care how others suggest you take the money you "saved" by putting it in high yield savings or treasuries paying 5% yield (Will this last, i think not). In the end you are still paying for the TV, period. Manufacturers aren't stupid they know many only care about monthly payments, not the length of the term. Not to mention those yields are taxed. Bottom line, make sure you can afford it and not pay a single cent of interest.

I would guess that odds are you will be fine, but did want to share what I ran into. It's just that it's a huge pain if not.

I got mine installed Friday. it is wonderful and the installers know their stuff, I am glad I paid for the $120 (but supplied my own mount). 77 and very thin … you need two people to mount it. I used EPP+10% from chat.

S90C 77: $2186
HW-Q990C soundbar: $650
Pro TV Mount service: $120

NJ taxes were $195.80

You can opt to pickup at your local best buy. I had that option but no car that would fit that in. That's one of the reasons I did not buy a TV at Costco.

0% interest is free money. Why lock up cash that can make you more money?
