Also, are there pods that you strongly recommend/don't recommend?
This seems like something that you'd find at an airport restaurant so the prep cook can make a 'whisky sour' at 8:30AM while he / she is also counting the overnight till, running the register, busing tables, and acting as host/ess.
But whatever.....
Perfect for airport lounges as well. While having a real live bartender is a plus, not having to chase one down, or waiting in line during busy times would suit a lot of folks who just want a quick drink before a flight.
I know, I know...21st century problems.

BTW, what size maul do you use? I don't cut that much firewood but still do a bit. Currently using splitting axe and I been on the fence about buying maul. Would I see extra benefit with a maul vs splitting axe?
ahhh i see it has like kuerig mixers. still so weird. i guess if you dont have a mini bar and dont know how to make drings. idk. lol
Further - this design looks SO superior to the original that required you to pour all liquor into specific glass jars that came with it. I would absolutely get this style over the one I have if it had been available at the time.

Typically if I'm having guests over, I'll choose the drink menu, not them. I'll offer them a beer, a wine, or the ONE cocktail I've decided is on offer that night, or a pre-mixed drink like margaritas. If I do want to host the kind of get-together where the added hospitality of serving people whatever they want is important, then being chained to the bar for the night is a feature, not a bug. Though this machine seems to live between those two options, which is interesting, but not sure how I'd really use it.
