Sim is locked to Phone you have buy $1 tracfone BYOP sim kit from Amazon/Walmart/Bestbuy. Once Swap sim it removes A53 from account and won't be able to unlock it. Would wait 60 days to unlock A53 its worth $100+ by itself.

yes but tracfone plans overpriced compared to other MVNO unless keep getting these QVC/HSN phones

Mint mobile doesn't work for me (wasted over $30 best buy gift card) but they do have 1 week trial free.

this is not clear to me. I want to transfer the plan to my existing TF account, and have a spare unlocked A53 after 60 days.
is this the method suggested?:
1. activate it with a new number and wait 60 days without using it.
2. move all the remaining service to the existing number and terminate the new number came originally with the phone.
