However, you can't mix two discounts. You won't get free storage upgrade if you take the EDU discount of $200.

Are these foldie Samsungs so fragile that one has to pay 600 to pass the buck every year?

I think they're more asking for a response from someone who's had the same Fold or Flip for 3 years or more. If a daily driver I'm guessing minimum the screen saver has had to be replaced.

Samsung always has very generous trade in deals so I don't blame you for upgrading, but at this point in the game asking $1k for the Flip line is ridiculous for what you're getting and most are just upgrading yearly due to the very generous trade in values. I have the Flip 5 and would never pay $1k for the thing.

I can reproduce this with employer's discount.

Have a Z Fold 3 from BB/ATT deal some time ago which I tried and liked but never switched to it and still using S22+. I still want to go to foldable and now wondering if upgrade from Z Fold 3 to Z Fold 5 is worth $599. Seems quite expensive comparing to acquisition cost of Z Fold 3 which was $300. So essentially it means full cost of Z Fold 5 would be $900 for me. Normally I don't pay that much for my phones.

This is a better offer than at the time of Fold5 preorder. $200 promo is also available thru your workplace benefits (if you are eligible). Thanks OP for posting.

I have the Fold3 for 2 yrs now. The protective cover (started to peel off) on the foldable screen has been replaced twice by Samsung for no cost (I also have Samsung care+). Screen size is absolutely gorgeous if you watch lot of videos, email and browsing on your phone. Camera is not as great as Galaxy Ultra series.

Samsung one? Their 1st gen fold phones were launched in 2019, not even 5 years ago.

I loved my Fold 4, but it started to break short of a year after purchase. Samsung sent me a new one and I sold it for a S23 Ultra.

I still miss it, but they're not durable.

This year it was like 70 bucks out of pocket for straight upgrade fome flip 4 to 5 using the preorder promos.
