I have a pair on my car well over 2 years and still fine - nothing i have ever used compares.
Respectfully disagree. I've had the same set for around 5 years. Just finally replaced them this year. They are a great product. My truck is parked outside 100% of the time as is the wife's car. We are on So Cal.

I've had these wipers for 4 years and they're still going strong. I want to replace them, but there's no need.

I've had Icons on my last 2 cars and have never needed to replace them. Owned the cars for 7 and 12 years.

This seems like an okay deal if you need it now… but for reference, I just bought the 22a/20a wiper blade pack (I know - different size but still) for $15.02 after coupon and S&S. Just got it late September.

Also not sure why Bosch says I need 2" larger drivers side blade than any other reference…

I don't generally endorse a wiper blade, but Toyota/Lexus OEM refills are the best I've come across. I have a 2013 GS350 and I've replaced them once, had the car since new. Here in the northeast we get hot summers and cold winters with snow. These inserts have handled it all. Even when they were well beyond their life expectancy and partially torn, they still wiped fine, no chatter, no issues.
OE fitments may serve you better. This is coming from someone who usually just gets the cheapest stuff I can find on rockauto

I think at this price they really should be made with silicone. I bought some Michelin Endurance XT from walmart for $20 each 4 years ago, they still work after 4 winters. With just a slight small streak in front of the driver side. Outside storage in shitty midwest winters. I should had just swap the blades and that probably would had fixed it. I'm still keeping them in the vehicle as back up blades.

Maybe its just me but it bugs me when people talk about wipers' longevity and get so steadfast in their claims but like, 90% of the people debating never even consider where they are geographically and how someone else's normal weather patterns would cause for different wiper performance.

Thanks for the heads up OP... I've been needing them for a while now. Fortunately this is the perfect storm where they actually had my size, it was on sale and I had a convenient $25 GC to burn!

I bought a pair of these last week. A couple days later I was in Costco and they had the Michelin blade wipers on sale for $7.99 each so I picked up a pair of those as well. Very similar design between the two. I put one of the Icons on the driver's side and the Michelin on the passenger side to see how they would compare over time. These were both 20" models on a 2002 Ford F150.

Immediately I noticed that the Icon was not conforming to the windshield and was missing an inch or so at each end of the blade. I attempted to bend it but that didn't help. I didn't notice any difference in wiping quality aside from that. If the Icon lasts longer then it might be worth the extra money but only if it wipes the entire blade length. In my case it doesn't and so the Icon is going back. It would have to last about twice as long to make sense.

Are these worth the premium over the Michelin beams at Costco? (Currently 7.99/each).

Never used either model...got 3 years out of my OEMs.
An emphatic yes. Costco blades streak and make noise. If you don't care about that then stick with Costco. Whisper quiet clean blades is what icons are about

The 2 year old OEM blades on my Prius Prime are still doing shockingly well. I think I read the OEMs from Japan are better.

2.5 years and 30k miles in mid Atlantic using same pair. Once they start leaving streaks I get rubbing alcohol on paper towel and wipe them which basically resets performance.

Damn the sizes don't fit my two cars that need these. It does fit my car that already has them and it they don't need to be replaced and never have.

I have purchased many sets of Icons. I've had mine last for at least 2 years. This is using them with snow and ice. For the most part I would say people are right with them lasting years.

These look interesting. I snagged the Bosch Icon deal but I have used them before. They are great wipers but they only last a year or so before they streak or skip. I am more concerned with the quality of the wipe than price. In the end you're only taking a dollar or two a month.

Honestly if your car has OEM blade inserts available those are usually the best way to go. The problem is that it's often way easier and more convenient to just pick up new blades at costco, walmart or a auto parts store so the entire OEM blade gets trashed. The majority of my cars have been bought used so usually the OEM blade is long gone.

In some cases the OEM blades ARE on the same level as the aftermarkets, though. Like I did buy my Subaru new and I think the whole blade was disposable.
