This will run circles around Fortnite lol. You sure you need to spend all this money just for that?

Amazing deal! Probably the best one I've found so far on a gaming desktop. This may be even better than the BF price to be honest.

They would not. I just reordered. Waste of everyone's time I guess.
I never understood that mindset. Lets create work for 10 Walmart employees processing a return / replacement transaction to end up with the same net result of a -$50 at the end of the day.

Exactly. Plus the added cost of shipping this again via 2 Day FedEx, etc etc.

You know what is also very German? The discipline to leave a gaming computer in the box unmolested for almost two months. Sadly I lack that discipline Wink

Cheers to you and and good hunting!

That's gonna be torture! Why do I do this to myself??

But speaking of it... I was kinda disappointed by last years BF and holidays offers in regards of gaming laptops/computer. I think this deal is hard to beat and if, its just by inches.

For double the RAM and SSD I would say it is worth it yes. I don't think you could add those two things on your own for $150.
You definitely could.

I think you are right about this BF. There might be a deal or two to beat this but they will be fleeting and / or no name brands. This seems solid all around. MSI is a good manufacturer, this computer ships and is sold by Walmart, arrives in 24 hours, all modern tech, no major sacrifices like you typically find on budget gaming PC. I couldn't pass this up either. Sadly I just bought another gaming computer 2 days ago which should arrive today. HP Omen laptop from Best Buy, I'll probably return it because of this PC. Still rocking a i5-7400 and GTX 1060 and somehow I buy two Intel gen 13 CPU / RTX 40(5/6)0 rigs in 72 hour period of time.

Starfield isn't very well optimized, but from the videos I've watched it should run it fine on medium settings

I hear you. Kinda busy this week with deals. Had a laptop on my radar too, but I am happy that I decided for a computer now. Think that is the way to go for a nice gaming setup!

Only thing I am not overly excited with is the processor. Should be fine for CS2 but want to have this system ready for GTA VI when (and if) it comes out for PC.

Is changing the CPU chip as easy as swapping a ram stick?

Every 5 years or so I decide to replace my desktop with a gaming laptop and instantly regret it. Without this MSI deal that would have happened (on schedule) today when UPS showed up. I don't know why I do it as I already have a beater laptop I take out of the house for personal use and also my work laptop. There is no reason I need to take my main PC off my desk. Plus I only game via the Steam Deck so honestly I do not need this PC either. My gen 7 i5 / 1060 is serving me just find for my desktop usage.

I would assume this CPU could handle GTA VI, especially with a 4060 but could be wrong.

I would say just as easy BUT you need to be much more careful overall as opposed to upgrading RAM as it is very easy to bend a pin. Also CPU vs mobo options can be limited. Sometimes a motherboard will have some odd line in the sand where it only supports X, Y, or Z or the step-up CPU is prohibitively expensive to upgrade (vs theoretical performance increases).

Been looking for a gaming desktop for my son for Fortnite/Valorant and jumped on this for the price. It was delivered today and we're loving the looks and speed of this rig!

Does anyone with this exact model know if the system has a built in speaker? This thing hasn't made a sound yet. Checked and updated drivers, sound isn't muted, volume is up. Only option in System>Sound is Realtek Digital Output. No "Speaker" option. Any help/suggestions?

Its been many many years since I bought a desktop (laptops only). Maybe gaming PCs don't have built in speakers anymore as everyone uses headsets or external surround sound speakers? 🤷

most desktops don't have speakers built in, but yeah people just use headsets, external speakers, or monitors that have speakers

Agree with the reply above: Many modern PCs don't have a built-in speaker (or it may be disabled by default in BIOS). Try plugging in any wired headphones into the headphones jack. The PC should recognize it and then you may see a "Speakers/Headphones (Realtek Audio)" option.
