It's letting me add the "package" combo to cart and proceed to checkout as a guest, so it's not totaltech only. The original poster should remove "totaltech only?" from the title. Additionally, you should name the specific free ssd in the title and description (in this case the 2tb samsung 980 pro), and it's generally a best practice to include product images when posting a deal.
This matches the best ever price I've seen on this particular monitor, and it comes with a free 2tb samsung 980 pro. The 980 pro is a good quality mid to high-end pcie gen4 nvme ssd that's worth ~$90 and is well suited as a boot drive. While moderately older, the 980 pro has dram, tlc nand with decent endurance, and a good controller with competent random 4k read/write performance. While it is slightly slower than newer high end ssds in a similar price bracket, such as the wd sn850x and solidigm p44 pro, real world performance should be indistinguishable to a standard user.
A variety of other retailers are also selling this monitor at $1399.99, including samsung themselves, amazon, b&h, etc. There may be discounts available to you when purchasing from various retailers; such as credit card offers, id.me discounts, edd/epp, cashback offers, etc., which may exceed the value of the 980 pro that bestbuy has bundled this with (or make this best buy "package" deal even better), so it may be worthwhile to check what offers and promotions are applicable to you.
Here's a link to the rtings review of this monitor: https://www.rtings.com/monitor/re...sc-s49cg95
While overall performance is quite good, keep in mind that as a samsung quantum-dot oled monitor it is highly likely to be extremely susceptible to burn in when used as a pc monitor. Likewise the standard issues of oled monitors, such as text fringing due to the subpixel layout and very low brightness relative to non-oled monitors, are present. Samsung monitor quality control and longevity has been somewhat hit-or-miss in recent years, so be aware. I've also seen reports of flickering issues with this monitor.

Use this monitor daily for gaming. Can't say for productivity but as someone who has owned the CRG9 as well as the G9 Neo, this is the best monitor I have ever owned.

Only annoying thing so far, when computer boots up (or sometimes RARELY when you alt tab out of a full screen game) it will go to the standby screen and you have to wait. You don't have to do anything, it just takes like 5 seconds to come back. Hopefully fixed in a patch someday.

The SSD is HUGE, bigger than that giant monitor.

250nits brightness seems really low for such an expensive monitor. My cut off is a minimum of 400nits. Anything under that usually doesnt look very good.

Sounds like DSC is in the play, which would happen to any monitor for DQHD@240Hz (unless it wasn't an issue on your G9 Neo?)

I'm really tempted to get this one, although I have no use of the ssd. Probably get 10% urlhasbeenblocked cashback on samsung website instead.

That was the Neo G9, the mini-LED version that came before this one

There aren't really any OLEDs that top that right now. As someone who's been using the Alienware one since it launched, brightness is never really an issue. I wouldn't arrange it with your back to a window though.

You might not get 10% since it's in different category

Can use it as external drive if put in enclosure. Like for PS5

It'd be nice if they allowed a trade-in option like they do with phones. Lol.
