These Bluetooth receiver I've used in my car, sadly I wasn't a fan. It works really well, and sound is fine. My issue was when you turn your car off the receiver stays on. This creates conflict when I go into my house where I use Bluetooth for music. If I play music it still goes out to my car. I've since bought one that doesn't have battery and it just turns off when I turn my car off.

If you need a bluetooth adapter for the aux port in your car, I would recommend getting this one that plugs into a usb port for power (also from ugreen) instead: https://www.amazon.com/UGREEN-Blu...081GGB53R/
It works perfectly and you don't need to recharge it, and it turns on when your car turns on and off when your car turns off so you never have to touch it at all. You do have a wire running down to the usb port but it's tiny.

I think you have to purchase them individually. I tried adding more than one code and they seem to replace each other.

I believe these are receivers not transmitters (transceiver)

Anyone recommend one of these for PS Portal that comes out next month. It won't have Bluetooth so something with a good form factor that plugs flat and flush maybe?

I bought these receivers from other brands in the past. I just hot glue them to the sides of non bluetooth headphones and use a short aux cable to plug into the existing audio jack on the headphones. Turns them into bluetooth and I can just pull it off and replace it in the future whenever the battery dies.

The two I own seem to have the same internals. I hear a pleasant beep whenever it pairs successfully and a different beep when I power down. Nice UI.

One other brand I tried said, 'POWER ON!' in a laughable Chinese accent. I couldn't used them without giggling each time I turned it on and ended up returning it lol

This is a valid concern. My phone always connects to my wife's car when she starts it up (or pulls in the driveway) which can be annoying. I'm considering getting one for my older car as I currently connect via a USB-C dongle to the 3.5 jack which mean I can't take calls without unplugging it. Considering the dual transmitter/receiver just to make it a more useful device even outside the car.

* RE: the "POWER ON/POWER OFF" thing I had that in a pair of super cheapo BT headphones. They were actually really great except for these voice prompts that were super loud and just annoying to have to hear every single time.

It should since it is a receiver/transmitter based on the specs, see 3rd pic and 5th, I wanted to buy the Twelve south Airfly but don't want to pay $55 but for $15 I will give this a try and see how is the quality for airplane/travel audio port. Based on the reviews question it has worked for others.
