That said, bottomless portafiler, weight scale, new basket will be another $100 and I did the Barista Gadget mod which was $130 to control temp. Have been enjoying ice americanos, iced lattes, and cappacinnos at home easily. It's a fun process to make your own espressos.
With diff beans, you can taste all the diff bean profiles which is very interesting too,

i suppose the obvious answer is, it depends on whether that notable difference worth the 9x difference in cost to someone
