FYI if you're interested in the M mount (Canon M200).. that line of cameras is dead and there's only like 6 lenses available in the format. Canon is moving on to the R series for mirrorless.

True but you can get the EF EF-M mount adapter and buy inexpensive used lenses for Canon's DSLRs.

M is APS-C. R is full frame. Not everyone wants full frame; some want APS-C for the compact size.

The R7 R50 and R100 are all APS-C. I don't think they have a ultra-small form factor R-series camera yet, but I'm sure it's at least under consideration given how popular some of those smaller range-finder shaped cameras are.
All i'm saying is that Canon is no longer investing in the M-series lineup and that there's not many M mount native lenses for it. Something to consider.

Yeah, Canon has no meaningful replacement for the M series. The R mount is just too big to make cameras of the same compactness as the M series.
The M's were a hot seller in Japan, always outselling other mounts by a wide margin, but never big sellers in the states.
If you want a compact mirrorless camera, this is kind of the last model Canon seems to be willing to make you.

Hi, can you help with me to understand M200 vs R50
Any alternative mirror less camera within 500 to 800$ including lens?
This is for a beginner.
I can wait for Thanksgiving deals if any.
