I've been waiting to pick one of these up, $80 seems like a decent price. Not sure if $20 extra for finger print is worth it.

All cheap chinese tech has the risk of being a Trojan horse, just read about all the infected android tv boxes
Every company is a trojan horse for your data. Let's not pretend that Nest, Wyze, Blink, Arlo, and all the others aren't just as capable of being hacked and infiltrated. Eufy at least has the decency to not charge you a monthly fee while also being a vulnerability.

At the end of the day if someone wants to gain access to your system bad enough, they're going to be able to.

The C220 is $100 (normally $150), and it includes fingerprint entry. I think that's the better deal:

Fingerprint tech makes me nervous, like it's still new enough to be exploited. Please correct me if I'm wrong because I'd sleep better lol

I have another version of such a lock S231 with a fingerprint opener and I love it. What I would buy in addition is the spare battery. It takes ~4 hours to change this battery to full, so it is good to have a spare one.

Definitely thinking about this deal...Current Nest x Yale lock is having some massive issues right now. VERY disappointed that it only lasted ~5 years. Not looking to replace my lock as quickly as a new phone!

I love Anker.

I'm a little bummed that Eufy doesn't have the auto-lock feature until you move up their product line quite a bit. Thats one of my favorite features in my current Nest x Yale. Just great peace of mind that you remembered to lock up as you walked out. Looks like that feature isn't available until you hit S230 ($150 down from $260 - 40%) - https://www.amazon.com/eufy-Finge...B08P75DNB5

Personally I won't consider the C220 just for the fingerprint sensor. Right now I have just a touchpad and it's worked flawlessly. How many ways do you need to get in your house?! But...the C220 does offer a longer battery life, so maybe that's worth it.

Anyone have the S230? How's the autolocking feature?

Nope, lockpicking lawyer can old-school hardware hack it. The only safe option is to buy a welder and weld your door shut each time you go out. Or a digital lock with no physical override, sure it'll lock you out when its battery dies but that's the price one pays for freedom.

But supposedly their older C110 has the functionality. Crazy that an older version would have it but not the newer one.

Anker has always done a terrible job at marketing their products.

Looks like the C220 is listed with the autolocking feature according to their site:

Go look at that screenshot again. When there is no check mark next to feature, its not in the product...

That's weird. Definitely says no on the product page on Eufy and on Amazon.

And this is what I was mentioning before. Anker is terrible with their marketing. Should be pretty simple...

that is the built in door sensor.

check my attachment. it shows it has a custom countdown auto lock.

and agree it shouldnt be this difficult. at least the reviews say it has it.
