still sitting sour that my Gen 1s had the known crackle issue and Apple wouldn't replace them.

Attractive price but I can't bring myself to buy AirPods from Amazon. Too many horror stories in the reviews about receiving fakes and Reddit posts about people wanting to or suggesting buying real ones and returning fakes. Some have mentioned Amazon co-mangles the inventory so there is a chance a pair listed as Sold and Shipped by Amazon is actually a unit from a 3rd party seller.

While a lot of that is hearsay, there are enough reviews that give me pause.

doesnt hurt to try, but be ready to rebuy at the new price and when it arrives send it back as the first purchase.

oh and be sure to tell them what a hassle it is and that it costs them to process both the new purchase and return.

Ordered yesterday at $199.99 - $60 Amex card discount. Tried price matching, they can't do anything with it, can't do order cancelation either as it's getting ready to be shipped. Only option is to refuse delivery or return Frown

Pretty sure if you do that you don't get the Amex money back, ie you can't use it again

Overall you still got a good deal though

Yes usually if it hasn't shipped, you can reuse it. Just not if it gets shipped.
