Attractive price but I can't bring myself to buy AirPods from Amazon. Too many horror stories in the reviews about receiving fakes and Reddit posts about people wanting to or suggesting buying real ones and returning fakes. Some have mentioned Amazon co-mangles the inventory so there is a chance a pair listed as Sold and Shipped by Amazon is actually a unit from a 3rd party seller.
While a lot of that is hearsay, there are enough reviews that give me pause.
"Exclusions Clearance, closeout, liquidation sales, damaged, used, open package, refurbished, pre-owned, or rent/lease to own items, storewide or category promotions, offers advertised as % or $ off, non-branded items, or prices that only display on a website after guests log in."
"Yes, so the items you want is now 24% off from the listed price, as system will not allow us, but as you are our valuable guest I will help you as one time exception"
They said they're going to price match as a one time courtesy to me. But, that's a load of crap.
Note: Almost every single item on Amazon.com shows a "% off" comparison to the made up list prices, so Target won't price match.

These are so new, case-wise, hopefully, they don't have time to fake it yet...
I was in Costco in NE Florida Friday and they had the Airpods Pro advertised as Gen 2 With New Case (for $199)
Mine says this too, but the model information on the tag matches the lightning version. I have yet to see anyone confirm getting the USB-C version at Costco in the US, but I've seen several posts here and in the reviews on Costco's website about it saying "new case" but actually being lightning.

Target same price with red card -> $199 - $10 red card discount = $189
Amazon has 14 days return policy for Apple products. But new one and return the $199 one 😀
Time value doesn't really equate here plus the used ones you return now have to be sold at a discount, just seems like a waste overall. I hope they price match cause I purchased mine last week also but if not, oh well...

oh and be sure to tell them what a hassle it is and that it costs them to process both the new purchase and return.

no need to match price at local target. just use discover at amazon and you'll get 5% reward back.

I'm not gonna return and rebuy and suffer Amazon's draconian bans over $10
