How does the picture compare to a Samsung QN85/QN90 TVs?
Similar from what I have read.
The Samsung QN90B/C are great sets. The best non-OLED in my opinion.
Was able to get the 85" QN90B this Spring for $1600. Love it. If reviews are true, this should be very close picture quality wise.

PQ looked incredible in the store but Hisense has one of the worst QC in the market, beware.

My H6510 has been running for 3 years without an issue (minor bedroom use, about 4 hour a week though. Idle mode all the time if this matters.
Is that the $249 65" 2020 Black Friday special? If so, it will die

Well their tvs have been getting better quality wise and they make very cheap budget tvs too but this one of their premium models which are built a little better. The best buy 5 year warranty is the best tv warranty on the market so I do recommend it but I don't think it's absolutely necessary. I wouldn't compare the quality on their cheaper sets to their premium models.
just pulled the trigger through bestbuy with the 5yr warranty.

Hopefully if it does come down to needing to use it, it will be smoother than directly through the mfg since this is our main tv and downtime will cause some havoc.

So from the comments it sounds like Hisense TVs die or pixels go bad often? Maybe I'll wait for a good Samsung neo QLED sale then.

That's on their budget $250 tvs, not their flagship

Nice, I think you'll really enjoy it. I javelin the geek squad warranty and haven't used it but with all my research everyone says it's phenomenal

The comparison from Rtgings:

The Samsung QN90C/QN90CD QLED and Hisense U8/U8K are closely matched, although the Hisense is a bit better overall. The Hisense has better contrast than the Samsung, is a bit more colorful, and also gets brighter; the Hisense pops more in dark and bright rooms. It also has better low-quality content smoothing than the Samsung TV. The Samsung has a faster response time, no VRR quirks, and lower input lag, so it's better for gamers overall.

Considering the Samsung is on Amazon right now for over $1,100 more I'd say this stacks up phenomenally against it. Overall rating this gets a 8.5 while the Sammy gets 8.3

Agreed. Wish I would have jumped on the QN90B. That was a freaking steal

Sammy QN90C at some point will drop even below this price like the B did last year. Hisense is a great TV but I'm sorry the Sammy will be 100 times better no matter what RTINGS says.
Well rtings has all the stats and measurements to back it up and there are plenty of other pro reviewers that make a living reviewing equipment who feel the same way and you saying 100 times better speaks to your credibility. You have neither tv but feel like you know more about these than professionals that have extensively tested both lol

This TV will drop in price as well. Last year's model was going for 1000 not long ago. That happens in tech. Next year the J model will be out and the K will go on clearance.

100x better based off your personal feeling and emotions? Leave the scientific method to the scientists. Measurements are say the HS is a much better TV and it's not really close. Want a better "name" brand try the Sony 95L. It's double the price. Wait on that price to fall but.. the competition will continue to push tech to even better results.

Anyone know if the 85 inch uses the IPS-ADS panel like the 75 inch version? I'm looking for the better viewing angles but want the 85 size. Rtings makes it look like the 85 uses a VA panel, pretty bizarre that Hisense would only make the 75 with a different panel.
