Still grossly overpriced and can't be used on anything but Xbox

$89-$90 is my target for this and I would buy it.

Sony used to be the one who used proprietary storage. They learned their lesson and Microsoft clearly has not.

Yeah, it's overpriced for what it is.
Yeah, it sucks.
Yeah, I bought one because this is the lowest I've seen the 1TB and more storage is an absolute necessity for getting the most out of Game Pass Ultimate on a Xbox S.

Western Digital is also selling at this price point, I was able to get my recently purchase WD C50 price matched. I used a coupon to get it down to $135. On the price match, they got it to $125, the coupon doesn't stack.

this is why the S doesnt sell and is a terrible idea. Now you spent more than just buying the X in the first place. or almost as much.
The Series S has outsold the Series X 3 to 1. While you may discount it because of it's lower price point, it has sold a ton. They are also the fastest selling consoles Xbox has ever had.

Same in for 1. Got the S free with my Fios and this will help jump around games on Gamepass without having to continuously delete or move games.

It helps that the series x was actually unavailable for purchase for the first 2 years.

Lol, this doesn't help at all with "getting the most out of game pass "
I agree you can simply buy a normal storage device and just transfer over your Xbox series s/x games back over to your console when you wanna play em.

Any suggestions for an external drive?
