It also doesn't have a glossy panel which makes it better when using it as a PC monitor, especially when you watching it up close.

It performs identically to a c1. It just has DisplayPort and usb hub. It doesn't include the tv features such as the LG smart interface, tv image & motion processing, and tuner.

I think I understand your desire to encourage others to put in the legwork on finding things, but your vague comment about "$8 Amazon remote" really doesn't move the conversation forward.

Perhaps I have misunderstood, but which one are you referring to? Does it have some type of "keep awake" feature?

How's the c3 when it comes to text?

IPS is way better than oled for text clarity. If you really need oled and need the clearer text, get the 42" lg oled tv. It has a higher dpi than the 48"

What's the difference between this and a C3?
138hz,displayport,no tv features such as apps and dolby vision, matte screen finish. A little less brightness.

Wouldn't OLED be bad as a pc monitor since there's so many static elements like ur desktop, internet browser menus, etc? Or is burn in not a major concern like it used to be
Good news: your windows system has screen saver mode which displaying random elements to keep it refreshed.

No problem. Bro, trust me I do use it mainly for
- 30%: coding and software engineering stuff
- 30%: photo and video editing
- 20%: PS5 games (120fps ish)
- 20%: movies etc

So it's overall a great alternative for 34" / 38" / 42" monitors with minor caviars (which are easily fixable by Reddit/YT it)
I would also like to mention here that, at first I thought 48" was what I needed, I got 48" and it was a bit big (as screen real estate) for my liking so I returned it & got 42" which is the best for my editing office and ikea top 👌🏽

You won't regret *chefkiss*
What changes would you make to caviar?

I think from a gaming standpoint, the way to go is 21:9 now.

I would have bought this about 3-4 years ago, but there has been a shift to 21:9 gaming over the last couple years.

I think it's still a great option from a productivity standpoint. I use the g9, and sometimes think I should just go 4k, so I can have 4 1080p screens going on...

Just a matter of preference though.

Excellent value at 800, but MSRP is too high, suspect it will be discounted again.

55 inch QLED (QN90B series). 👍 Haggled at a TV store to get $300 off msrp. The anti glare coating is the 2nd best they had. The best one was a samsung oled. Meanwhile, the old lg oled I bought from Costco died, and it had burn in after 3 years of use.

Important thing to consider is the monitor LG OLEDs have much more aggressive panel cleaning tech. They don't wait 4-8 hours like TVs and almost instantly start their clean cycle which is what you want if you work on these everyday. Not even the C3 will do that. Plus there are a lot of other nice features this has for PC like full 4:4:4 4k 138Hz over display port which you won't get on the C2/C3

I have one. Its a great monitor but only for gaming. If you are going to use this for anything else, you will hate the auto dimming. It can go from retina burning bright to barely visible and you don't have any control over it. If you are looking at a semi-static image like reading an email it will keep getting dimmer and dimmer and dimmer. It doesn't take long either, it happens after about a minute. Just moving the cursor isn't enough for the brightness to go back up either, you have to grab a window and move it around the screen.

For gaming, its great. I had it on my desk but moved it to my playstation instead since I was getting really frustrated with the auto brightness.
