For some, that is totally fine and worth the lower price point. For others who would be annoyed with the seam, there are one-piece (whole piece) desktop options, but they're a little pricier.
and yes it was the 55" (all of their tables were $100)

Disregard, I tried to use it on their desk with the drawer underneath. $20 more for a 33lb weight limit drawer but no wheels.
I went with a competitor brand for $109. appears to be the identical standing desk, but this one has wheels.
