Anyone know in order to be eligible for the 5% back for Amazon purchases, if I have to be primary account holder in Amazon Prime? My wife is the primary and I'm the +1.
+1 for everyone else's responses - but one thing to note is that there can only be 1 Prime card per Prime account. If you share an account with someone and they also get a Prime card, your card will be demoted to a non-Prime status (given that it's only linked to this 1 Prime account)

That is not correct. I am the +1. We both have our own Amazon cards, we both get 5%.
I have a grandfathered Prime account with multiple adult family members on it-
When one of them tried ti get a store card it didn't seem to grant them the full benefits as they weren't the main Prime account.
Maybe that's changed.
Sounds like for newer/current prime & +1 account holders it works
I had a prime card maybe 1 and a half years ago that I got a $200 sign up for. I cancelled that a year ago. I signed up for this and got instant $150. Great for Xmas presents Black Friday deals. The odd thing was chase gave me very low credit limit, even though I have 850+ score.
I have Prime via a famiy member's account and have had it for a long time. When I clicked on the OP's link, I am only offered a $50 gift card and 3% cash back on the card at Amazon, Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods.

To whom it may concern - I applied through this Slickdeal and the very next morning at 9am a received a suspicious phone call from Chase fraud prevention asking to verify my identity via text message. I felt uncomfortable so I refused. When I called the number back it was an automated touchtone voice inbox from supposedly chase but there was no way to contact customer support to talk to someone. I googled the number they called me from and there were numerous reports on Reddit and elsewhere of the number being fraudulent. Do not apply to this!
